Watching movies

Watching movies can expose people to new cultures and places. They can tell stories, motivate people to act and educate the public.  Movies are a popular form of entertainment.

I like watching comedy, action, romantic, horror, suspense thrillers... in short, almost all kinds...  As much as I like to watch movies, I haven't been watching movies as much as I like to.

I've only watched 6 so far this year - The Tourist on January 1, Faster on January 22... and with over 3-month gap... Fast and Furious 5 on April 30, Priest on May 14 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on May 26 and X-Men: First Class on June 4... wow, only 6 in 6 months.  An average of 1 movie per month... hmmm not bad?

Then two weeks ago, a colleague announced that he has free GSC movie tickets expiring June 15.  Not to waste the free tickets and with not much choices, we decided to watch Super 8 at Pavilion. Afterall, how many movies are there left that all 8 of us haven't watch :P
Now, that's 7 movies in 6 months ~ not particularly a movie-goer huh?!

Till next week, let's watch another movie ^^

Driving Fiesta 1.6L Sport Auto

With my "busy", hectic life, I managed to find time to get a new car.  It has always been my dream to buy a new car this year and I finally got it.  Not gonna bored anyone with the Fiesta specs and all.  Ford Fiesta is, after all, the award-winning car which is built for fun and thrills with the look, power, comfort and control you love... and here it is...

It's definitely a far cry from my first car ~ the car I've been driven for almost 7 years
Am so excited but with the excitement comes huge responsibility.  A matured adult decision to make ~ taking care of the car, making sure that the monthly installments are settled promptly and most importantly, driving safely.

Till next week, let's go for a ride :)

Pedicure

It’s been a while since my last pedicure session. As I still got a service/treatment left from the promotion package at iStilo hair studio, I decided to go for pedicure.  After all,  it would be a waste if I don’t use up my package.

A pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet and their nails.  The word pedicure refers to superficial cosmetic treatment of the feet and toenails and comes from the Latin words pedis, which means "of the foot", and cura, which means "care".  A pedicure can help prevent nail diseases and nail disorders.

It took one hour and 20 minutes to get it done. My toes now feel and look so much better. I don't think anyone actually even look at my feet but I do and I don't want them to look hideous! More so that I like wearing open-toe sandals.

Till next week, gonna take good care of my toe nails

Shopping at Mid Valley City

I may not be a shopaholic but I do go shopping once in a while.  Another favourite shopping area is Mid Valley City where Mid Valley Megamall
and The Gardens Mall
are located.

Mid Valley Megamall is one of the largest shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur with over 430 retail shops. Since opening in 1999, it has attracted visitors and shoppers for its wide variety of shopping outlets, entertainment features and dining opportunities. Its anchor tenants include big department stores and hypermarkets such as Jusco, Metrojaya and Carrefour. Retail outlets inside Mid Valley cover fashion, electronics, computers, gifts, souvenirs, groceries, appliances and much more.

The Gardens, a new wing was opened to the public on October 2007. Many famous designer brands have shops here, as well as popular names in watches and diamonds. This new wing is connected to the mall through a bridge.

This is where I bought my office wear,
sport wear,
casual wear,
handbag,
jeans,
and many many more...

Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens truly offers a great shopping experience.

Till next week, looking forward to the mega sale *_^

Actorlympics

There is an old saying that goes: laughter is the best medicine.  It is also said that laughter is good for stress release and good health.

Having said that, where did I go last night?Yeah, I went to PJ Live Arts at Jaya One again. This time, to watch the Actorlympics.
Wonder what Actorlympics is? Well, it's a competition activity or sport in which theatrical players contend with each other according to a set of rules; a theatrical, improvisational, comical activity providing entertainment or amusement.  Well, it is an evening of entertainment provided by a collection of Malaysia's best comedy improv actors.

I watched the Actorlympics last year and had definitely looked forward to watch again this year.

The cast in last night show was Afdlin Shauki, Harith Iskander, Nell Ng, Rashid Salleh, Ida Nerina, Kuah Jenhan and Jason Lo.  They are all so funny. It is true when they said it is going to be the best night of laughs you have had in a long time with most amount of actors onstage at one time.

Till next week, keep on laughing coz when you laugh, the whole world laughs with you :D
