Dinner at The Gravy Factory

The Gravy Factory is located at Nu Sentral Mall. It opens from 11am to 10pm daily. The menu includes salads, soups, burger, pasta, rice, light bites and dessert. My ex-colleague and I went there for dinner on Wednesday, April 20, 2016.

  I had baked fish
~ baked pacific emerald fish fillet, tartar sauce, French fries and garden fresh salad ~

while my ex-colleague had chicken chop 
~ boneless grilled chicken with potato wedges and garden fresh veggies ~

 and we later shared steam chocolate cake with ice-cream for dessert.

Visiting new mother in Prince Court Medical Centre

Last Monday, April 18, 2016, my friend gave birth to a healthy 2.9 kg baby girl at Prince Court Medical Centre.

My pregnant friend and I visited her the next evening at 6.20 pm. This was my second visit to Prince Court Medical Centre. My friend was with her baby in her room when we came. Both of them are doing fine and are expected to be discharged the next day.  It was good to catch up with my friends. We left a few hours later.

Congratulations to the proud parents on the birth of their second child!

Manicure and pedicure at Nail Bar

A manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands performed at home or in a nail salon.  A manicure treatment is not only a treatment for the natural nails but also for the hands.  A manicure consists of filing, shaping of the free edge, treatments, massage of the hand and the application of polish.  

There are also services that are specially for the hands and feet. When applied to the toenails and feet, this treatment is referred to as a pedicure.  For the feet, the soaking of a softening substance and the application of a lotion is a common speciality. 

Last Saturday, April 16, 2016, we went to Nail Bar located at G-08C Wangsa Walk Mall, Jalan Wangsa Delima 11, Wangsa Maju, 53300 Kuala Lumpur. We did classic manicure + hydrating pedicure for RM99 and hydrating manicure + hydrating pedicure for RM119.

The "manicure" derives from Latin: manus for "hand", cura for "care". I always wanted to get a pedicure but my busy schedule gets in the way. I had wanted to do it a long time ago... then when I got busy, I put it off for another day. That day turns into a week, months and that turns into a year.

Till next week, I'm gonna take good care of my nails ^^

Celebrating birthday at The Hungry Spoon Cafe

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, treated a friend for lunch at The Hungry Spoon Cafe. Her actual birthday was on Friday, April 8.  It is located at 6, Jalan Radin Bagus 9, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 KL. Opening hours are from 12 pm to 11 pm daily except Monday and Tuesday.

 We ordered 'The Piment Blanc'
~ mixed seafood with chillies, homemade chilli paste and creamy white sauce ~

 Aloha Sunrise pizza
~ chicken pieces, turkey ham, pineapple, cheese, homemade tomato sauce and sunny side up egg ~ 

 Chicken philly cheese sandwich
~ cheddar, sliced chicken breast and fries ~

and sundae.
