Brunch at Dotty's Pastries & Coffee

Dotty's Pastries & Coffee is located at 20, Jalan Tun Mohd Fuad, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. Its operating hours are from 8am to 8pm daily. There are other outlets in Klang Valley.

Went there for brunch last Sunday, December 16, 2018 with my friend and her niece and nephew. We ordered big breakfast (RM36) ~ two eggs, chicken sausage, slow cooked baked bean, eggplant, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomato, freshly baked bread and salt beef ~

  

Chocolate French Toast (RM18) ~ chocolate Ganache layered Brioche served with cinnamon whipping cream and topped  with almond flakes, caramelised bananas and crushed peanuts ~

 as well as ginger breads, 

chocolate doughnut (RM6)

 and salted egg york doughnut.

Big Bad Wolf Books Sale 2018

The Big Bad Wolf books sale was held at Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre for 24 hours non-stop from 10am on December 7 to 12 midnight on December 17, 2018.

 Went there on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9.45 am to 10.45 am.

The sale offered 75% to 95% discount on all 4.5 million books.

Bought four books for RM30.

Lunch at Zang Toi Cafe

Yesterday I caught up with an ex-colleague for lunch at Zang Toi Cafe located in Parkson Pavilion Lot 4-42, Level 4, Pavilion KL.  I've never been there before.

I had West 57th nasi lemak with beef rendang
~ coconut rice served with egg, sambal ikan bilis, peanuts and cucumber pickles ~

 while my ex-colleague had spicy curry laksa.

 We ordered the lunch set (RM24.90) which comes with tea punch (hot for me and iced for her) and lime tea cakes.

Location ~ convenient as it is in a shopping mall

Seating ~ indoor and very limited

Food presentation ~ acceptable

Portion ~ typical

Taste ~ good

Celebrating birthday at Warakuya

Last Saturday, December 1, 2018, I treated a friend for her birthday dinner at Warakuya Japanese Restaurant located at 1, Jalan Radin Tengah, Sri Petaling, 57000 KL. Yesterday was her actual birthday.

  Its opening hours are from 11.30 am to 11 pm daily.

 We had hot green tea (RM2 per person) and shared special warakuya roll (RM18.90),

grilled salmon maki (RM18.90), 

chicken nanban age (RM14.90), 

dobin mushi (RM9.90),

kani karaage (RM19.90),

mango sushi (RM11.90)

and mochi durian (RM9.90)

with complimentary jelly.

 You know Christmas is just around the corner when you see a Christmas tree in the cafe.

Went there for lunch on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Ordered grilled lamb shoulder spaghetti (RM19.80), passion fruit asam boi (RM8.90),

nasi Memorie (RM14.90) and hot honey lemon (5.90).

Taste ~ spaghetti is alright but the nasi lemak so-so only

Healthy food by Cotton Craft Food & Delivery

On Friday, November 2, 2018, I browsed through Instagram and found this food delivery service. One of the menu is healthy food set. Without hesitation, I made an order to be delivered at 9am the next morning.

The food was delivered at 8.39am which was much earlier than expected.

The healthy food consists of omelette, roasted chicken with salad and smoked salmon with potatoes and vegetables.

Exploring new mall: MyTown Shopping Centre

MyTown Shopping Centre is located at Seksyen 90, Jalan Cochrane, Cheras, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. MyTown Shopping Centre has opened on March 16, 2017 and I am finally here after almost 1 year and 5 months.

Its anchor tenants are Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC), Ikea, Parkson and Village Grocer. There are Watson's, Caring Pharmacy, MPH Bookstore, Smiggle, Swarovski, Celebrity Fitness, Family Mart, Daiso, Miniso, Focus Point, Esprit, Cotton On, Mango Concept Store, Zara and many many more.

I went there on Sunday, August 5, 2018 with a friend who also treated me for belated birthday lunch. We watched Mission Impossible: Fall Out at GSC.

Went there for lunch yesterday, November 20, 2018.

Ordered dragon fruit juice (RM10),

carrot juice (RM9),

lamb chop with brown sauce (RM21) served with French fries and salad

and traditional English fish and chips (RM17) also served with French fries and salad.

Taste ~ the lamb is tender but the sauce is a bit cold while the fish is nice

Dinner at La Juiceria Superfoods Signature

La Juiceria Superfoods Signature is located at G-03, Nadi Bangsar, 16, Jalan Tandok, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It opens from 8am to 10pm daily. My ex-colleague and I went there for dinner on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. It has been almost 6 months since we had meal together.

 She had Bangkok salad (RM19.90) ~ Romaine lettuce, seasoned grilled chicken thigh, red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, steamed broccoli, carrots, roasted pumpkin, fried shallots with Thai coconut curry sauce,

 I had Sarawak laksa (RM27) and

we shared raspberry choc cake (RM14.90).

Breakfast at Rimba & Rusa

Rimba & Rusa is located at D-GF-01, 2, Jalan PJU 5/14, 47810 Kota Damansara, Selangor. Its business operation is from 12 pm to 10 pm on Monday to Thursday and from 9 am to 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday. It is closed on Friday. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

Went there for breakfast on Saturday, November 3, 2018. We ordered spicy sausage with onions & eggs,(RM21) ~ chicken cheese sausage slices sauteed with cili padi & caramelised onions with scrambled or sunny side up eggs & artisan bread , Turkey sunny Benedict (RM21) ~ two poached eggs, homemade hollandaise sauce on toasted English muffin,  Earl Grey tea (RM8.20) and green tea (RM8.20).

Farewell dinner at Link All Day Dining

I arranged to have a farewell dinner for an ex-colleague on his last working day on Monday, October 29, 2018. We went for Asian buffet at Link Restaurant, Pullman located at No.1, Jalan Pantai Jaya Tower 3, 59200 Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 6 am to 10 pm daily.

I had fish, seafood skewers, roasted potatoes,

 aglio olio spaghetti,

  fruit rojak,

 meehoon rebus,

 fruits,

  kuih, cakes

  and chocolate ice-cream.

The place is almost empty. That was the first time I had dinner there and I don't enjoy the food. The choice is limited and the food is very slow to be replenished. The staff looking after the Western food forgotten about the pasta that I ordered. The staff looking after the sushi section is so rude that I decided not to eat the sushi. One staff wrongly gave us the bill while we were still enjoying our food.
