Wedding lunch at Restoran Kak Mie

Haven't been to a Malay wedding reception for a long time. The last one I've been to was more than five years ago.

I was invited to a colleague's sister's wedding lunch at Restoran Kak Mie located at One South Street Mall on Sunday, January 29, 2017. The mall was pretty much empty.

It was a typical Malay wedding reception with a typical door gift. Didn't know anyone else at the reception other than my colleagues.

Happy Chinese New Year 2017

The year of the rooster began on January 28, 2017.

I just simply love this particular decoration at Nu Sentral Mall.

My friend and I tossed yee sang before lunch at Sushi Zanmai located at Nu Sentral Mall on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.

 Not much of a celebration this year...

Breakfast at Peekaboo Cafe

Peekaboo Cafe is located at 1-3-M, Jalan Jalil Perkasa 13, Aked Esplanad, Bukit Jalil, 57000 Kuala Lumpur. 

Its business operation is from 12pm to 10pm from Tuesday to Thursday, 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sunday. It is closed on Monday.

Before we even step in the cafe, we can see the decoration

 and mural on the wall.

Went there for breakfast on Sunday, January 22, 2017. It serves big breakfast, sandwich, pizza, croissant, lamb chop, spicy salsa chicken, chicken chop, fish & chips, pasta, rice, mushroom soup, fries, wedges, ice-cream and beverages.

Ordered crunchy oreo waffle (RM17)

 and lavender tea (RM11).

Food presentation ~ attractive

Taste ~ alright

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ have to order and pay at the counter so not much of a service

Lunch at The Gallery Cafe

The Gallery Cafe is a British owned cafe that serves western food and specialty gourmet coffee. Its business hours are from 11 am to 11 pm daily.

It is located at 5-0-2, Ground Floor, Blok 5, Danau Business Centre, Jalan 3/109F, Taman Danau Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. Went for lunch there on Saturday, January 21, 2017.

 

The cafe offers 3-course lunch set (RM19.90 nett) which consists of soup of the day (sicilian tomato soup or leek & potato soup), main course (roast Australian chicken & fries, penne carbonara, bacon & egg sandwich or fish & chips) and iced or hot lemon tea. It is available from 11am to 4pm.
