Eating Vietnamese food

Pho Vietz Restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese food. It has a few outlets in Klang Valley. Three of us treated a friend for lunch at their outlet at No.2, Ground Floor, Jalan Radin Bagus 7, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 KL on Monday, April 24, 2017. Her actual birthday was on Saturday, April 8. Opening hours are from 11am to 9.45pm daily.

Vietnamese cuisine always has a combination of fragrant, taste and colour. Vietnamese dishes include five fundamental taste senses: spicy, sour, bitter, salty and sweet corresponding to five organs: gall bladder, small intestine, large intestine, stomach and urinary bladder.
We ordered prawn roll (RM9.90),
traditional Vietnamese cup cake (RM8.90), flat rice roll (RM9.90), sugar cane prawn (RM11.90),
celery beef set (RM19.90)
 and Vietnamese Atiso tea (RM7.90).

Zumba class

There are a few activities organised by my company to encourage employees to have work-life balance. Among them are bowling, badminton, futsal, Zumba class and kick-boxing class.

I decided to join Zumba class which is held once a month at YMCA located at 95, Jalan Padang Belia, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur. We received a freebie for each class that we attended for the past few months.

Attended the class last Friday, April 7, 2017 and got a singlet.
It was a fun activity. The instructor is energetic and we enjoyed the one-hour class ^.~

Till next week, let's zumba!

A weekend at Perhentian Islands

Island is my ultimate getaway. I've always loved the beach. I can just lie on the beach listening to the sound of waves crashing against the shore day and night.
We booked flight and accommodation via expedia for a weekend (3 days 2 nights) at Perhentian Islands. Perhentian Islands are islands in Besut District, Terengganu. The flight is scheduled to leave KLIA2 at 11.50am and reach Sultan Mahmud Airport at 12.45pm on Friday, March 31, 2017. The journey from the airport to Kuala Besut Jetty is about 1 hour 15 minutes.
While waiting for the boat, we had lunch at April Cafe.
We ordered watermelon juice, RM4.90, pineapple juice, RM4.90,
fried noodles, RM8.90
and seafood fried rice, RM8.90.

The boat trip took almost an hour with stops at Perhentian Kecil Island and other resorts.
We stayed at Perhentian Island Resort for the weekend.

Well, there is also a swimming pool but obviously, nobody is there.
After we checked in, we walked along the beach.

Coral View Island Resort is next to Perhentian Island Resort.
Then we walked to The Barat Resort and sat on the jetty.
Amazed to see the clear non-polluted sea.

On the first evening, we had dinner at the restaurant in the resort itself.
We had Perhentian Chef salad (RM18)
and cheesy pizza (RM28).
After dinner, we continued walking along the beach.
The next two days, we had breakfast buffet at Pinang Seribu Restaurant.

After breakfast, we just laid on the beach and soaked up the sunshine all morning.

Then we decided to have lunch at The Barat Resort.
We had rice (RM2) with tomyam soup (RM12) and watermelon juice (RM12) and fish and chips lunch set (RM30) that comes with coffee, mineral water and coconut smoothie.

In the evening, we had dinner at Mama's Restaurant
facing the sea.
I had coconut juice (RM7),
meehoon bandung (RM10)
and Singaporean meehoon (RM9).
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, we left the island by the 8.00am boat and reached Kuala Besut Jetty in 30 minutes.
We went to the airport straight away. The flight is scheduled to take off from Sultan Mahmud Airport at 1.10pm but was delayed by 30 minutes. We reached KLIA2 at 2.35pm. It was a short trip but I'm glad I decided to go.

Till next week, hope that my sunburn will go away by then...
