Celebrating birthday at Buena Brasa Gastro Pub and Sunbather Coffee

On Thursday, June 20, 2019, I treated a friend for her birthday eve dinner at Buena Brasa Restaurant located at Unit G9 & G10, The Sphere, Jalan Kerinchi, Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.  Its opening hours are from 11am to 11pm daily.

 We shared Buena Caesar salad (RM24.20),

Drunken fish and chips (RM35.20),

 wings (RM28.60),  salt and pepper calamari (RM30.80),

real Campania Blanco, Spain wine (RM27.50) and Glenfiddich 12 years whiskey (RM30.80).

After dinner, we went to Sunbather Coffee Cafe located UG12, The Sphere, 8, Jalan Kerinchi, Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur. Its opening hours are from 8am to 10pm daily except Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 10pm.

We ordered Sakura tea,

deconstructed feta cheesecake (RM20) and

Black Forest cake (RM15).

Celebrating birthday at Yellow Brick Road and Acai Lab

On Saturday, June 15, 2019, I treated a friend for her birthday lunch at Yellow Brick Road located at Lot 8-7, Jalan Batai, Damansara Heights, 50490 Kuala Lumpur. Her actual birthday is on June 19.

 Its opening hours are from 9am to 4pm and 6pm to 10pm daily except on Wednesday from 9am to 6pm.

We shared wizard Caesar salad (RM27.84) and

 Hooked (RM34.80)
~ battered fish with mushy peas, minty yoghurt, herb roasted potatoes and tartar sauce ~

I had freshly squeezed orange juice (RM16.24) while my friend had latte (RM12.76).

After lunch, we went to Acailab located at 17, Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 7, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. Its opening hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. It is closed on Monday. 

I had acai classic (RM14) with granolas, strawberry, grapes, dragon fruits and nuts (RM1 each) as toppings while my friend had Rio bowl (RM15.90).

On Friday, May 31, 2019, we treated our colleague for her birthday eve dinner at SOULed Out located at 20, Jalan 30/70A, Desa Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur. Its opening hours are from 12pm to 3pm and from 5pm to 1am from Monday to Friday, from 5pm to 2am on Saturday and from 12pm to 1am on Sunday.

 We ordered fried calamari (RM33.64),

patatas bravas (RM10.44), 

Guinness Lynch (RM34.80),

Tiger beer (RM185.60),

Mojito Trio (RM69.60),

Spicy lemon drop (RM104.40),

Tequila (RM69.60) and

lastly, the salted dark chocolate cake (RM20.88) for the birthday girl.

Brunch at Cocott

Cocott' Restaurant is located at 1-1, Greens Terrace, Jalan Wan Kadir 3, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur.

Its business hours are from 11.30am to 3pm and 6.30pm to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 10am to 3pm and 6.30pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday. It is closed on Tuesday.

It serves French food with a dash of Malaysian flavours.

Went there for brunch on Saturday, May 25, 2019.

We decided to have their brunch set (RM41) which comes with a bakery basket, butter and jam.

I had Cordon Blue (170g)

~ breaded chicken with cheese & beef bacon, fried and salad ~

and my friend had French Rustic Omelet and tea.

For desserts, I had chocolate mousse (70% dark chocolate) and my friend had creme brulee (vanilla flavoured).

Awesome Canteen is located at No.19, Jalan 20/13, Taman Paramount, 46300 Petaling Jaya. Its operating hours are from 11am to 10pm from Sunday to Friday and from 11am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. It is closed on Monday.

Went there for lunch on Thursday, May 23, 2019 with my colleagues. I ordered Awesome Fish & Mash (RM28.90)

 while my colleagues ordered beef burger,

 risotto

 and pasta.

Dinner at Kembali Kitchen

Last Thursday, May 30, 2019, we had our department break-fasting at Kembali Kitchen, Best Western Petaling Jaya Hotel located at 1, Jalan 13/1, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya. Its business hours are from 6am to 3pm daily. However, in conjunction with Ramadhan, it served dinner buffet, Selera d'Kembali from May 13 to 31, 2019 from 6.30pm to 10.30pm. There are 16 of us altogether. Price per adult is RM125 nett with 40% discount for Maybank cardholders.

Price ~ not worth the serving

Service ~ food was not replenished so it was like on first come first serve basis

(never had a buffet without food been replenished before)
