A visit to Johor Bahru

On Thursday, November 18, 2021, I joined my ex-colleague and her two cousins to Johor Bahru. We left my place at 9.30am and stopped at R&R Ayer Keroh Selatan at 11am.  I had mango (RM3) and pau rendang daging (RM3). We continued our journey at 11.35am.

We had lunch at Kari Kambing 40 Hari. We were there from 1pm to 2.25pm.

Next stop was Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) at Bandar Indahpura, 81000 Kulai, Johor.

We checked in KSL Hotel at 7.10pm. KSL Hotel is located at 33, Jalan Seladang, Taman Abad, 80250 Johor Bahru. A friend who is staying in Johor Bahru picked us from the hotel at 8pm. We had dinner at The Pinggan Cafe from 8.30pm to 10pm. It is located at 9, Jalan Tampoi, Kampung Bahru Majidee, 81200 Johor Bahru. It opens from 3pm to 11pm daily except Tuesday.

On Friday, November 19, 2021, we had breakfast at Medan Selera Hutan Bandar from 8am to 9am.  It is located at Jalan Tasek Utara, Kolam Ayer, 80100 Johor Bahru.  I had lontong kering (RM8).
Then we drove off to Tanjung Piai National Park. It was about an hour and a half drive.
The admission charge is RM10 for Malaysian adult.
Tanjung Piai National Park is the smallest but most visited amongst Johor's five national park.
It is the southernmost point of mainland Asia.
It is opens from 9am to 5pm daily except Monday.

As we were standing on the southern edge of the platform, we were further south than anyone else on the mainland of Asia. How cool is that?

We had lunch at Dulang Lima from 1.05pm to 1.55pm.

After lunch, we stopped for Air batu jagung and cikong (RM3.50).
Our friend picked us from the hotel at 7.30pm for dinner at Restoran Anjung Senibong Seafood from 8.10pm to 9.20pm. It is located at Permas Jaya, 81750 Johor Bahru.

On Saturday, December 20, 2021, our friend took us for breakfast at Oon Kitchen. It is located at 29A, Jalan Tarom, Kampung Bahru, 80100 Johor Bahru.
After breakfast, we dropped by Puteri Harbour from 9.45am to 10.05am followed by Laman Istana from 10.15am to 10.30am before heading back to the hotel.
We checked out at 11.30am and reached home at 4pm.

Till next week, happy to be in another city even for a short while.
