Celebrating birthday at Botanica+Co Restaurant & Bar

Last Saturday, June 23, 2018, I treated a friend for her belated birthday lunch. Her actual birthday was on June 19. This year I decided to bring her to Botanica+Co Restaurant & Bar located at G5 Podium, The Vertical, Bangsar South City, No.8, Jalan Kerinchi, 59200 KL. That was our first visit to the cafe. The queue was so long that my friend has to leave her handphone number to call once seats are available at the cafe.

Its opening hours are from 9.30 am to 12 am on Saturday, 9.30 am to 10 pm on Sunday and public holiday, 11.30 am to 10 pm from Monday to Thursday and extended to 12 am on Friday.

We started with The Bo+Co fruit bowl (RM19)
~ fruits with whipped yoghurt and honeycomb ~

  Maui pizza (RM31)
~ grilled chicken, pineapple, mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil & shaved parmesan ~

  and churros donut stack (RM18)
~ donut-shaped churros stack topped with vanilla ice-cream, drizzled with caramel and chocolate ~

Location ~ not too far
Food presentation ~ alright
Seating ~ indoor as well as outdoor
Taste ~ delicious
Price ~ quite pricey

Spring in London

On April 27, 2018, I booked return tickets to London for 17 days 15 nights from May 14 to 30, 2018. On Monday, May 14, 2018, I had dinner at Plaza Premium Lounge before boarding the plane. 

The flight departed from KLIA at 7.20 pm and arrived at Dubai International Airport at 10.05 pm. Then departed at 3 am and arrived at London Gatwick Airport at 7 am.

I had rice and curry goat (£6.50) for lunch and in the evening, my friend cooked steamed chicken and stir-fried mixed vegetables with sausages for dinner.

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, left Norbury station at 10.43 am and reached Tottenham Court Road station at 11.27 am. Went straight to Dominion Theatre to buy the musical ticket (£35).

Shopped at Primark while waiting for the show to start.

Obviously everyone is excited on the upcoming royal wedding as I walked around the theatre.

Watched Bat Out of Hell (£35) at Dominion Theatre from 2.30 pm to 4.52 pm.

On Thursday, May 17, 2018, left Norbury station at 10 am and reached London Bridge station at 11.19 am. Then walked around Borough Market till 1.20 pm.

I had chicken pad Thai (£7.00). 

 Then walked to The Monument to the Great Fire of London which stands at the junction of Monument Street and Fish Street Hill.

The monument was built between 1671 and 1677 to commemorate the Great Fire of London and to celebrate the rebuilding of the City.

At 1.55 pm, went to The Shard to watch the view from the observation deck at 72th floor.

On Monday, May 28, 2018, left London Gatwick Airport at 12.55pm and stopped at East Croydon station for lunch at a Mexican restaurant, Chilango. 

I had chicken protein box ~ black beans, lettuce and chicken (£8.45) and mango passionfruit (£1.75).

On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, left Norbury station at 10.10 am and reached London Victoria station at 10.32 am. Spent the morning at Victoria Place and bought souvenirs to bring home.

It was raining but I still walked to Buckingham Palace

and Hard Rock Cafe :)

I left London Victoria station at 2 pm and reached Norbury station at 2.20 pm. I had rice and curry goat (£6.50) for lunch at Flavours of Norbury.

Left for London Gatwick Airport at 5.30 pm and reached the airport at 6.23 pm. The flight departed from London Gatwick Airport at 9.45 pm and arrived at Dubai International Airport at 7.35 am. 

Then departed at 10.25 am and safely arrived at KLIA at 10 pm.
