Celebrating Christmas 2019

Received my first gift on Monday, December 2, 2019.

Received my second gift, 2 chocolate boxes from my cousin on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, I received Christmas gift from my ex-colleague while we had breakfast at Makan Culture, AEON Big Wangsa Maju.

On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, I had dinner with three of my ex-colleagues at Sushi Zanmai, The Gardens. Received more gifts then.

On Monday, December 16, 2019, I had dinner at Madam Kwan Restaurant, Mid Valley with three friends and one daughter

and we exchanged gifts after dinner.

Collected gifts from The Gardens on Tuesdays, December 3 and 10 and Monday, December 16, 2019.

On Wednesday, December 25, 2019, we walked around Sibu Town Square to see the Christmas tree decorations.

Unlike previous years, I was back in the office on Monday, December 30, 2019 and received a Christmas gift from a colleague, unexpectedly.

On Friday, January 3, 2020, received the last Christmas gift from my boss.

Till next week, wishing a healthy and work life balance in year 2020!

Team building in Hard Rock Hotel Penang

On Friday, December 20, 2019, our department drove to Penang in five cars. Left KL at 8 am and drove by Starbucks where I had chamomile tea (RM15.37). We stopped in Ipoh for breakfast at 10 am. Then we had lunch at R&R Bukit Gantang. I had nasi kukus ayam berempah (RM6.50).

We checked in at Hard Rock Hotel located at Batu Ferringhi Beach, Penang at 3.30 pm.

I went for head, shoulder and neck massage at Rock Spa for 30 minutes (RM34.10) at 4 pm.

Eight of us left for dinner at 6.30 pm at Sunshine Bay Seafood Restaurant located at 5A, Jalan Tanjung Bungah, 11200 Tanjung Bungah, Pulau Pinang. It opens from 1.30 pm to 10.30 pm daily except on Tuesday.

We went for drinks at Hard Rock Cafe after dinner where we watched the live band. We stayed on till midnight.

My roommate and I joined the rest for breakfast buffet at Starz Diner at 8 am before our department strategies meeting at 8.30 am. The meeting ended at 1 pm and we had department lunch at Starz Diner.

After lunch, two of us had drinks (RM94.50) at The Shack by the pool till 6 pm.

In the evening, we had department dinner at Hard Rock Cafe at 6.30 pm and I left an hour later to pack my luggage.

Left for Penang Airport at 8 pm and reached the airport at 9.15 pm. The airport only accept printed boarding so I had to get it printed at the airline office as the airline counters were already closed and the kiosks could only print the boarding pass half an hour prior to flight departure. Our names were called up so we ran all the way to the boarding gate. The flight took off at 9.40 pm right after we got in. We arrived at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at 10.30 pm. Left the airport by taxi (RM48) and reached home at 11.30 pm.

It was a fun and enjoyable time away from the office except for the rush to catch the flight back to KL.

Pedicure at Nail Bar

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, I went for pedicure with my ex-colleague at Nail Bar located at Lot F1-16, AEON Big Shopping Centre, Jalan 8/27A, Seksyen 5, Wangsa Maju, 53300 KL at 11.50 am.

It has been almost two years and nine months since the last time we did this together.

We did pedicure for RM65 each and I added design for RM38.

Earlier in the morning, we had breakfast at Makan Culture located at G.05, Ground Floor, AEON Big Shopping Centre, Jalan 8/27A, Seksyen 5, Wangsa Maju, 53300 KL. Its opening hours are from 10am to 10.30pm. I had fried man tau with special curry sauce and hot lemon tea while she had fried man tau with buttermilk sauce and iced coffee leleh (RM31.65). We were there from 10.50am to 11.45am.
