Bukit Tinggi

On Saturday, February 2, 2013, my cousins and I went for an impromptu trip to Bukit Tinggi.  Bukit Tinggi is a small town in Bentong district, Pahang. We left home at 10.10 am and reached Colmar Tropicale at 11.45 am. Paid RM12 per person for entrance fee.
Colmar Tropicale is a replica of a collection of buildings from Colmar Village, a north-eastern village in Alsace, France in the 16th Century. The French themed resort was opened in July 2000. It is surrounded by lush tropical forest land.

A clock tower at the entrance welcomes the visitors.
We went to the Japanese Village, located at 3,500 feet above sea level ~ the first of its kind outside Japan.  It was planned and designed by renowned Japanese architect, Mr Kaio Ariizumi an built by a team of 22 skilled craftsmen from Japan.
It encompasses a Japanese Tea House, Sakura and Ume Tatami Suites and a Botanical Garden.  An hour long authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony conducted by Kimono clad ladies can be observed at the Japanese Tea House located within a Japanese garden with mini waterfalls and a pond of multi-coloured Koi.

Here are some of the flowers in the Botanical Garden.

Before we left, we had lunch at La Flamme Restaurant.
We ordered salad
spaghetti carbonara
spaghetti bolognese
and drinks ~ coke, guava juice and pineapple juice.
Overall, it was a fun-filled day. Gotta do it again. Now I can gladly say that I've been to Bukit Tinggi.

Till next week, can't wait to meet up with a friend tomorrow :)

Dinner at House

After shopping at The Curve and IPC on Saturday, January 26, 2013, we decided to go for dinner at House, eCurve ~ a restaurant, bar and winepost. It opens from 11am to 1am on Monday to Saturday and 11am to 12am on Sunday.  Haven't been there before so we decided to give it a try.

From the drink menu, we ordered
berries booster
~ black grapes, raspberries, blackberries & sweet strawberries ~
and a simple watermelon juice for me.
No sugar is added to juice drinks in this restaurant so no worries there...

After browsing through the food menu for over 15 minutes, we ordered
Tagliatelle Pasta "Seafood Jambalaya" for RM31.90
~ Scallop, prawn, mussel, smoked chicken, capsicum & paprika ~
and
"House" Classic Burger for RM28.90
~ Australian ground beef pattie served on soft sesame bun with home made roasted roma tomato chutney ~
served with salad and French fries
The ambience, the food, the service ~ what's not to like?
Coming back? Definitely :)

Till next week, enjoying a quiet workplace while the rest is still on CNY leave ;)

Tea Time at Casa Del Cocco

After lunch on Friday afternoon, January 25, 2013, my cousins and I went for pedicure at Coco Nails.
It was raining heavily by the time we were done so we went to Casa Del Cocco.  Casa Del Cocco is located at No.18, Jalan 5/109F, Taman Danau Desa, Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 8.30am to 10.30pm on Thursday to Tuesday.

We shared a piece of lime meringue ~ yummy!
Till next week, let's welcome in the year of the snake.
