Celebrating Christmas 2010

"On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree."

It's the fifth day of Christmas but the Christmas feeling is still in the air. Come on, there are, after all, twelve days of Christmas...

It's hard not to catch the Christmas feeling.  Shopping malls have put up christmas trees with lights and ornaments as early as November.

Christmas is all about spending time with family.  Of course, whenever there is a family gathering, there is food.  As a tradition, mother cooked 'daging masak hitam' and chicken curry.  There are also cakes,

bread,

ketupat,

sweets

 and christmas cookies

biskut makmur
biskut conflakes
biskut cincin
As we grow older, it's no longer about christmas tree and presents underneath it ~ have not had put up Christmas tree for years now ~ I still received gifts though, lesser and lesser each year, now mostly chocolates...

Soon it will be the end of the year and back to reality ~  I mean work ~ how time flies.  Before we know it, we'll be at work and looking forward to celebrating another festival...

Till next week, happy holidays and happy new year 2011!
