Phuket Getaway

booked return tickets to Phuket on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. I had hor fun with gravy (RM14.50) and hot lemon tea (RM6.30) at Old Town White Coffee for lunch before getting onboard.
Departed from KLIA on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 5.45pm and reached Phuket International Airport at 6.10pm.
Took taxi (THB800) from the airport at 7pm to Novotel Phuket Resort. Checked in at 8.10pm. Novotel Phuket Resort is located at 282, Phrabarami Road, Tambon Patong, Amphoe Kathu, Chang Wat Phuket, 83150.
Greeted by a friendly staff who took us to the room. So happy with the welcome gifts, a hat 
with complimentary snacks, canned and packet drinks.



Took a taxi (THB300) to Hard Rock Cafe at 9.45pm. It was a 10-minute ride.

As usual, dropped by the Hard Rock Shop.

Walked around Otop Market which is just across the street from 10.20pm to 10.45pm.

Ordered fried rice with shrimp (THB100) at a Muslim Thai Halal food stall. Took a taxi (THB300) at 10.50pm and reached the hotel at 11pm.
On Saturday, January 19, was picked up from the hotel at 7.30am. First stop at 8.15am was Big Buddha. 
The opening hours is from 6am to 7pm daily.

Second stop was Wat Chalong, a temple dedicated to the monks Luang Pho Chaemand and Luang Pho Chuang who spearheaded a fight against the Chinese rebellion in 1876. Walked around from 8.52am to 9.43am.





Third stop was Sri Bhurapa Orchid Cashew Factory located at 7/1 Moo 3 Khuang Road Tambol Vichit,Muang, Phuket 83000. Were there from 9.57am to 10.19am. Bought a few packets to bring back home.

Fourth stop was a pearl shop, Mook Phuket where we stayed from 10.22am to 10.40am but I left empty-handed. 
The fifth stop was Big Bee Farm from 10.43am to 11.10am.
The staff explained the benefits of honey.
Bought 1kg honey (THB970) and
  a box of chocolate (THB190).
The sixth stop was Thalang ManeeKram.
Opening hours is 11am to 7.30pm.
Got on a short boat ride around the area.




Walked around the floating market from 11.17am to 11.35am.


Last stop was a souvenir shop from 11.54am to 12.06pm. Back in the hotel at 12.30pm. Decided to have lunch at the Coffee House. I had chicken green curry (THB220), mango juice (THB120) and extra steamed rice (THB60).
Collected my free welcome gift, 500g fruits of my choice.
Spent an hour at V Lounge from 3pm to 4pm. Got to choose one free drink and my choice is hot chocolate.
In the evening, watched the Siam Niramit Show. Was picked up at 5.40pm for a 30-minute ride. We had buffet dinner at Sawasdee Restaurant till 7pm.
While waiting for the show to start, we were entertained by traditional dance shows. The Siam Niramit Show started at 8.30pm and ended at 9.55pm. No photo taking is allowed in the theatre. We were sent back to the hotel at 10.05pm.
Joined the breakfast buffet (THB300) at the Coffee House the next morning from 6.55am to 7.38am.
Walked on Patong Beach from 7.55am to 8.35am. 

We were picked up from the hotel at 9.26am and reached Dolphins Bay at 10.17am for the 11am show.
It was a fun-filled one-hour show.
It was my first time I saw dolphins.

Left Dolphins Bay at 12.12pm and back in the hotel at 12.59pm.
Took the hotel free shuttle van to Junceylon Mall at 1pm and reached the mall at 1.15pm. I had a 30-minute foot massage (THB200) with head, neck and shoulder massage (THB200). Got on the hotel free shuttle van back to the hotel at 3.15pm.
Was recommended to try the food at Baan Rim Pa so I had lunch there from 3.49pm to 4.50pm.
Ordered cosmopolitan (THB395),
tomyam goong (THB225)
and mango sticky rice (THB225).

 Received a complimentary soap on the last night.
Checked out at 7.07am and left for the airport by taxi (THB800) at 7.42am. Arrived at the airport at 8.36am. Took off from Phuket International Airport at 11am instead of the scheduled 10.30am and arrived at KLIA at 1.35pm. No thanks to the one-hour difference, the flight back is longer!
