A weekend in Prague

On Friday, May 18, 2018, my friend and I left for London Gatwick Airport at 5.20 am. We reached the airport at 6.09 am and decided to have breakfast at Wagamama Restaurant. I had apple+goji pancakes (£5.95) ~ fluffy pancakes made with shredded apple and goji berries, dusted with icing sugar and drizzled with rice syrup served with a fresh fruit salad ~ with green tea 

while my friend had the English breakfast (£10.25) ~ two rashers of back bacon, sausages, grilled tomato, wilted spinach, sauteed sweet potato and shiitake mushrooms with two poached eggs ~ with latte.
The flight departed from London Gatwick Airport at 9.20 pm and arrived at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague at 12 pm.
Checked in Wishlist Old Prague Residences (£413.07) located at Brehova 1, Prague Czech Republic 110 00 at 12.48 pm.



Then we walked around the Old Town Square and the surrounding area.

We had lunch at U Medvidku from 2.22 pm to 3.32pm.
We had Budvar goulash with Carlsbad dumplings (CZK195), Granny's larded roast beef in sour cream with white bread dumplings and cranberries (CZK195) and Trebon carp fillets with mashed potatoes (CZK260).
After lunch, we continued walking around the area.



Can't help the temptation of having ice-cream (CZK60). 
On Saturday, May 19, 2018, we strolled along the river from 9.20 am to 10.15 am.











We had a 30-min foot massage (CZK375) at La Boudoir Relax & Beauty Salon.









We walked on Charles Bridge and then Dancing House from 11 am to 1.45 pm.
I had lunch at Muc Dong Restaurant.


I had Vietnamese tea (CZK39), 
rice paper rolls ~ prawn, rice noodles and vegetables (CZK 69),
stir-fried rice noodles with beef and vegetables (CZK139)
and purple sticky rice with coconut (CZK 69).









Dropped by Hard Rock Cafe before continued to walk at Old Town Square from 4.15 pm to 5.30 pm. 
Then I had a relax back massage (CZK1,000) from 7 pm to 8 pm at Thai Mantra Massage.

On Sunday, May 20, 2018, we joined the Sandeman tour to Kutna Hora under the tour guide, Andrea Bulisova.
We left at 10.40 am and reached Kutna Hora at 11.50 am.

Kutna Hora is a 13th century silver mining town. 

It is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We spent 15 minutes at The Bone Chapel and 20 minutes at St Barbara's Church.








We were introduced to the Bohemian history of the town.
We visited the Gothic buildings. 





We had lunch at Dacicky from 3 pm to 3.47 pm.


My friend had roast duck with red cabbage and vegetable dumplings (CZK209)
and I had beef baked in cream sauce with bread dumplings (CZK189)
~beef, cream sauce, lemon, cranberries, whipped cream and bread dumplings~

We left Kutna Hora at 4.25 pm and back in Prague at 5.25 pm.

I had dinner at Koba Restaurant from 7.41 pm to 8.25 pm.
I had stir-fried beef with vegetables (CZK320), rice (CZK40) and hot green tea (CZK40).

On Monday, May 21, 2018, we joined the Hop on Hop off bus.
Our first stop was Prague Castle.






We were there from 11 am to 11.30 am.




Then we took a boat cruise along the river from 12.15 pm to 12.58 pm.




Then we decided to have lunch at Restaurace Dvorak.
I had salmon steak (CZK295), mashed potatoes (CZK60), bread (CZK45) and apple juice (CZK70).

We continued with the Hop on Hop off bus. We left Kampa Island at 4.31 pm and back at Old Town Square at 5.01 pm. We walked back and checked out at 5.49 pm. We took Grab car (CZK672) and reached Prague Airport at 6.23 pm. At the airport, I had chicken with potatoes before boarding the plane.
The flight departed from Vaclav Havel Airport Prague  at 10.40 pm and arrived at London Gatwick Airport at 11.47 pm.

Till next week, let's travel to another country...
