A weekend in Ipoh

On Friday, April 20, 2018, my colleagues and I took ETS to Ipoh. We left KL Sentral at 10.32pm and arrived at Ipoh Railway Station at 1.02am.

We took a Grab car (RM7) to Syeun Hotel and checked in at 1.26am.

We received a complimentary fruit basket.

On Saturday, April 21, 2018, we had buffet at their Garden View Coffee House from 8.20am to 8.45am. Then we took a Grab car to Kellie's Castle.

It costs RM21 but we were told earlier that it would be hard to get a Grab car from Kellie's Castle so we asked the driver to wait for us. He asked for RM45 which we were happy to accept. We reached Kellie's Castle at 10.09am and we left at 11am.

We joined the queue for nasi ganja at Kedai Kopi Yong Suan where the two of them have the nasi ganja.

We left at 12pm by Grab car and walked along the 3 Concubine lanes.

I had lunch at Burps & Giggles till 12.50pm.

We had chicken aglio olio (RM20), watermelon (RM8), mud chocolate cake and lemonade.

Then we walked to Yasmin Ahmad Museum. Entrance fee is RM5.

 After that we took Grab car back to the hotel.

At 7pm we left for dinner at Konda Konde restaurant by Grab car (RM4). 

I had nasi ayam hitam set which comes with tea 

and ice-cream.

My colleagues ordered honey chicken wings, nachos

and chicken lava burger.

After dinner, we walked at the night market known as Gerbang Malam from 8pm to 9.20pm. Then we took a Grab car (RM5) to Dataran Ipoh. There we ordered bihun soup,

char kuay teow

and satay with drinks.

We walked back to the hotel which is just nearby.

On Sunday, April 22, 2018, we had buffet breakfast at their Garden View Restaurant from 8.11am to 9.11am. We took a Grab car (RM5) to Restoran New Hollywood. We had kuay teow kicap, 

wantan noodles,

chee cheong fun,

and roti telur goyang.

We took the Grab car (RM7) to Ipoh Parade to pass time as our train is scheduled to leave at 1.15pm. We were at Ipoh Parade from 11.15am to 12.30pm. Then we took the Grab car (RM6) to the Ipoh Railway Station. Departed at 1.35pm and reached KL Sentral at 4pm.

Till next week, glad to be out of the city for the weekend...
