Breakfast at Pancake House International

Pancake House International is located at Lot F-046, First Floor, Mid Valley Megamall, 59200 KL.

It opens from 10am to 10pm daily.

The menu includes salad, sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, burgers, pastas, etc.

We had chocolate marble pancake (RM15.45),

hot chocolate (RM7.70),

Country Breakfast (RM19.90)
~ chicken sausages, hash brown, sunny side up egg and pancake served with maple syrup ~ 

which comes with tea or coffee.
Obviously my choice is tea ~ English tea ~

Location ~ convenient as it is in a shopping mall

Taste ~ yummy

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ good

Will surely come again...

My Day

On Thursday, July 23, 2015, I had dinner treat at Basil Pasta House located at No.21, Jalan Kuchai Maju 6, Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park, 58200 KL. 

We had pesto rosso
~ Sicilian style sun-dried tomato and almond red pesto field mushroom, vegetable and pine nut with grilled chicken ~
Aglio Olio e Peperoncino ~ olive oil, basil, garlic, chili flake, parmesan cheese & cherry tomato with seafood ~

and wild berries sabayon ~ Champagne sabayon sauce served with strawberry, black grape, mango & Champagne grape ~

On Sunday, July 26, 2015, I had lunch with three friends at Padi House located at 29, Jalan Radin Bagus, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 KL.

We had mushroom soup,

Caesar salmon salad,

  Mangolian lamb cutlet with garden vegetable and potato wedges,

grilled chicken with garden vegetables and potato wedges,

pasta with chicken,

  frozen yoghurt, Oreo cheese cake

and Japanese cheese cake.

On Monday, July 27, 2015, I had lunch treat from a colleague at Sushi Tei, Nu Sentral Mall.

The next day, another lunch treat from six of my colleagues at Pasta Zanmai also at Nu Sentral Mall.

Visiting a patient at Ara Damansara Medical Centre

On Thursday, July 16, 2015, my ex-colleague was admitted to Ara Damansara Medical Centre for dengue.  Ara Damansara Medical Centre is located at Lot 2, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang, Seksyen U2, 40150 Shah Alam, Selangor.

Ara Damansara Medical Centre is a tertiary hospital with Centres of Excellence for brain, heart and spine & joint. 

 I visited her on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 2.30pm and stayed for two hours.

 She was supposed to be admitted at ParkCity Medical Centre but no ICU rooms were available so she was referred to Ara Damansara Medical Centre.

 Bought her a basket of fruits.

 

She was alone in the room when I came. Glad to see that she was her normal talkative and cheerful self. She is expected to discharge the next day which she did.  She was given a week's rest from work.

Housewarming at Bandar Bukit Raja

An ex-colleague moved to her new home on July 1, 2015 and last Friday, July 17, 2015, she held her housewarming for us.

Fifteen of us turned up and we were served with rice, bak kut teh, fried kuay teow, vegetables, fruits and white chocolate cake.

There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 rooms downstairs with 5 bathrooms altogether. Took some photos in the house but decided not to post any ;)

Hmmmm it was great to meet up with those whom I haven't met for years...

Dinner at Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar

On Friday, July 10, 2015, five of us met up for dinner at Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar located at F209, 1st Floor, The Gardens, 59200 KL.

We had starter set (RM48) ~ prawns, mushrooms, chicken wings and calamari,

spaghetti seafood (RM40) ~ tiger prawns, mussels & calamari in roma tomato sauce,

Caesar salad served with chicken and parmesan (RM19),

 fish and chips (RM32)

~ dory fillet, french fries and tartare sauce and

 Quattro Formaggi pizza (RM34)~ gorgonzola, mozzarella, fontina, cherve and fresh dill.

It was a satisfying dinner though a bit pricey.

Right after dinner, we went for ice-cream at Magnum Cafe... yum yum.  We were lucky to walk right to the counter.  When we left, there was a long queue...

Dinner at Boat Noodle Thai Restaurant

Last Friday, July 3, 2015, three of us had dinner at Boat Noodle Thai Restaurant located at 02-49-10 & 02-49-11, 2nd Floor, Berjaya Times Square, 1, Jalan Imbi, 55100 KL. Its business hours are from 11am to 9.30pm daily.

We had cha-yen ~ Thai iced tea ~ (RM6.90), ice blended Thai tea (RM8.90), Oishi Genmai green tea (RM3.80)

6 bowls of Ayutthaya beef Thai rice noodle (RM1.90/bowl), 4 bowls of Pathumthani beef Thai rice noodle (RM1.90/bowl), 2 bowls of Ayutthaya chicken Thai rice noodle (RM1.90/bowl),  

 chicken wings (RM4.90), 

 Thai popeye's tempura (RM6.90)

and ka num tuay (RM1.00/2 pieces) as dessert.

Location ~ city centre

Food portion ~ noodle comes in small bowl is acceptable but the chicken wings in tiny pieces are a disappointment!

Taste ~ good

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ ok

Coming back? ~ probably

Movie Day at Mid Valley

On Saturday, June 27, 2015, we had lunch at Noodle Station located at S-069, 2nd Floor, Mid Valley Mega Mall, 59200 KL.

It is called Noodle Station but noodles are not the only food in the menu. It also serves a wide range of local and western food including rice dishes, sandwiches, chicken chop, fish and chip, steak, etc.

However, we chose to have noodles, springy noodle with chicken delight roll topped with luscious pieces of chicken roll and deep fried chicken dumplings and springy noodle with fish ball topped with fish balls, fish cakes and deep fried chicken dumplings.

After lunch, we watched movie ~ Avengers: Age of Ultron... I know, I know, it was released on April 30, 2015 and we just watched it now :| A bit outdated but at least we're not the only ones... It was not an empty hall. 

Right after the movie, we went for dessert at Jonker Sweets Dessert. We had red bean (RM4.50) and pak kor fu chuk (RM4.50).
