HIV/AIDS HOPE Awareness Run 2012

Last Saturday, June 23, 2012, I joined HIV/AIDS Hope Awareness Run 2012 with my colleagues. It is aimed to raise and increase awareness among public in changing their mindset about HIV/AIDS.

It was organised by AIESEC and HOPE. AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organisation run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. HOPE project is a fully student-run, not-for-profit project by AIESEC in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

We were flagged off at 7.45 am.  The 8km run started and ended at Istana Kehakiman in Precinct 3, Putrajaya.  Collection of T-shirt is upon registration which starts at 6 am.

We received a certificate of participation and goodie bag upon completion.

It was a fun experience ~ not tiring at all.

Tea time at Paddington House of Pancakes

Haven't get a chance to indulge myself with tea time on weekday until one fine Monday afternoon ~ that was on June 11, 2012.  I went to Paddington House of Pancakes at The Gardens. 

It offers a huge variety of pancake meals.

Today, pancakes are not only eaten as dessert and breakfast but are simply a hearty meal by itself, eaten for lunch, dinner and supper.

Came here before and definitely will come again... Well, I did come again on Saturday the same week.  This time we had

 ~ dollar pancakes with mixed fruits, nuts, cinnamon & ice-cream ~

Love the pancakes ~ coming here twice in a week ~ well, enough said :)

Car Painting + Polishing

MilkADeal was launched in January 2011 to bring deals worth 'milking'.  Well, I surely found one!  It was a voucher for car painting and polishing at Mycartechmotors, No.23, Jalan Wawasan Ampang 4/6, 68000 Bandar Baru Ampang, Selangor. Paid RM75 instead of RM150 for one voucher. 

The redemption period is from May 31 to June 30, 2012; Monday to Sunday from 10am to 7pm.  I redeemed it last Saturday and here is the result ~ all patched up!

Sleek look ~ so it's worth it!  My car looks brand new.

Eating Taiwanese food

Little Taiwan was established in 2000 by Vivian Chai to bring tasty Taiwanese cuisine to Malaysia. Their first outlet was opened in Mid Valley Megamall. 

Taiwan food today is a combination of the Chinese, Japanese and its local cuisine. In order to accepted in Malaysia, Little Taiwan has reformulated their Taiwanese cuisine into Halal Taiwanese Cuisine.

On Sunday, April 29, 2012, we had lunch at their outlet at e@curve. There is a lot to choose from the menu.  

We ordered salted chicken rice set

braised chicken drumstick rice set

and drinks ~ mango juice and peach rainbow crystal special mix ~

The food portion is small but tastes good so it doesn't matter. We'll definitely come again.

Window shopping at Great Eastern Mall

Great Eastern Mall is located at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.  Last Thursday I went to the mall to meet up my ex-colleagues for lunch.

While waiting for lunch time, I walked around the mall.  There are, of course, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, pharmacies, book stores and so on but definitely not a mall where I go for shopping :( Didn't buy anything...

Breakfast at Sisters Kitchen

Sisters Kitchen started in April 2008.  There are 2 outlets in Kuala Lumpur: one at 1st Floor, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P.Ramlee and another one at Lower Ground Floor, G Tower, No.199, Jalan Tun Razak. 

Its business hours are from 7.30am to 8.30pm on Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 7.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. 

Before work, we usually go for breakfast at their outlet at Menara Hap Seng.  We like to come here for breakfast as it offers various choices. 

I usually go for nasi lemak

fried mee hoon with prawn and fried egg

half-boiled eggs with kaya and butter toast bread

French toast with kaya and butter and

scrambled eggs with kaya and butter toast bread

together with a cup of tea.

Actorlympics

I was back at PJ Live Arts Theatre, Jaya One last night to watch Actorlympics. 

This is my 3rd year ~ wouldn't want to miss it!

Had a pre-show dinner set at art Mansion bistro earlier in the evening: tomato soup + beef up pizza + lemon tea. 

The cast in last night show was Afdlin Shauki, Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim, Kuah Jenhan, Ida Nerina, Rashid Salleh and Jason Lo. 

The show was about two hours and ten minutes: 8.40 pm to 10.50 pm. Simply a hilarious Malaysian comedy. It was great to be able to switch off after work with a night of laughter. 

Till next week, a day without laughter is a day wasted.
