                        Our family had lunch on Christmas eve

                        I fly to KL with my cousin on new year eve.

Till next week, tonight the company will be hosting the Lunar New Year Party for guests.

Happy Chinese New Year 2023

The year of the rabbit began on Sunday, January 22, 2023. No tossing yee sang at all this year.

Received my first ang pow on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. 

Received my second ang pow on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Later in the evening, eight of us had dinner at JIN Gastrobar located at Aurum Theatres, The Gardens, Mid Valley City, 58000 Kuala Lumpur. One of them came with her husband and two daughters.

Two of us had mesclun grilled prawn salad (RM32)

~ walnut, orange, feta and citron tea dressing ~

I actually ordered kale smoked salmon and I was informed that is not available so I ordered arugula pear salad but what I was served was totally different *disappointed*

 Another one ordered chicken satay pizza (RM38)

~ grilled chicken, Japanese cucumber and onion with peanut sauce on a thin crust base ~

There is only one flavour so anyone who wants pizza has no choice.

Another two ordered truffle carbonara pasta (RM38)

~ made with organic eggs, truffle jus, tossed with turkey bacon and mushrooms ~

One of them is still within her 100-day mourning her mother-in-law so she can't give away ang pow. Hence, Ferrero Rocher it is.

I received my last ang pow of the year on Thursday, February 1, 2023.

Celebrating Christmas 2022

Received my first gift on Saturday, December 10, 2022. I had lunch at Park 28 Restaurant located at 28, Persiaran Surian, Mutiara Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor with my friend. 

I had Park28 Special cocktail (RM30.80) while my friend had AK-47 cocktail (RM38.50).

We shared the calamari ring (RM26.40),

King salmon mentai gratin (RM74.80), 

 tartufo wild mushroom (RM38.50), 

and garlic cajun prawn pizza (RM41.80).

Unlike previous years, I was back in the office on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Nine of us had lunch at Christine's Bakery located at Lot 17-19, Level G3, Publika Shopping Gallery, No.1, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.  It opens daily from 8am to 9pm. 

We exchanged Christmas gift before lunch was served. 

I had Mary's lamb aglio olio (RM33) 

~ Montreal rubbed lamb shoulder, baby spinach, roasted cherry tomato, garlic and red chilli flakes ~

while two of my colleagues had Fishermen's clam aglio olio (RM33)

~ baby hard clam simmered in light seafood broth infused with garlic and red chilli flakes ~

After lunch, we had dessert at Salon Du Chocolat located at Lot 26-27, Level G2, Publika Shopping Gallery, No.1, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

Happy Chinese New Year 2020

The year of the rat began on Saturday, January 25, 2020. On Monday, January 6, 2020, twenty four of us tossed yee sang before dinner at Amber Chinese Muslim Restaurant located at No.7, Unit 14, Nexus, Jalan Kerinchi Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.

On Monday, January 20, 2020, I joined six of my colleagues tossed yee sang before our Chinese New Year lunch at Sam You Restaurant located at 56-58, Jalan 52/4, PJ New Town, 46050 Petaling Jaya.

On Tuesday, January 20, 2020, thirty of us tossed yee sang before our Chinese New Year dinner at Oriental Treasure, The Sphere, Jalan Kerinchi Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.

On Friday, February 7, 2020, five of us tossed yee sang before dinner at Purple Cane Tea Restaurant located at Lot LG-206, The Gardens, Mid Valley City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur followed by 

drinks at San Francisco Coffee.
