Dinner at Day & Night Cafe

Caught up with a friend for dinner on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Day & Night Cafe located at 70, Lorong Lau King Howe 1, 96000 Sibu. It opens daily from 11am to 10pm except Monday.

I had fish & chips (RM19.90) and longan juice (RM4) while my friend had chicken chop (RM19.90) and longan syrup drink (RM5). We also shared calamari (RM8.50).

Location ~ convenient as it is in town

Parking ~ plenty

Seating ~ indoor and outdoor

Food presentation ~ typical

Late Lunch at Peppers Cafe

Caught up with two old friends for lunch on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Peppers Cafe, Tanahmas Hotel located at Lot 277, Block 5, Jalan Kampung Nyabor, 96007 Sibu.

We had a teapot of Oriental Jasmine (RM12.50),

a glass of star fruit juice (RM13) and a glass of iced lemon tea (RM11.90).

 Two of us had fish & chip Broadway (RM23.90)

 while the other had Club Emas sandwich (RM21.50).

It was a good catch-up session.

Location ~ convenient as it is in a hotel in town

Shopping in Sunway Velocity Mall

On Saturday, March 2, 2018, my cousin and I decided to meet up at Sunway Velocity Mall. I haven't met this cousin of mine for a few years now. Can't even remember the last time we met.

We had lunch at  Chili's where we ordered Texas cheesesteak tacos beef served with fries and ranch tortilla stack (RM58.30).

After lunch, I accompanied her to shop clothes for herself and family. Bought something for myself too :)

When she's done, we went to Dip n Dip Chocolate Cafe.  I ordered dipndip chocolate brownie and mixed fruits juice while my cousin ordered ice-cream brownie sundae ~ brownies with ice-cream topped with vanilla bean whipped cream drizzled with salted caramel sprinkled with candies pistachios and a cherry on top ~ and dipndip chocolate freezy ~ chocolate milkshake topped with vanilla bean whipped cream.

We had a good time. It was great to meet up after all these years.

Meeting old friends in Sibu

Caught up with an old friend on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at H Coffee located at 4A, Jalan Kawi, 96000 Sibu.

Its opening hours are from 11am to 11.30pm daily. It is closed on Tuesday.

The cafe is decorated nicely for Christmas.

We had matcha bubble waffle, melting chocolate cake, hot chocolate (RM8.50) and iced trio latte (RM15.50).

On Saturday, December 30, 2017, we managed to catch up with another old friend at Coffee Code Cafe.

We had a piece of cake, 

 apple kiwi juice,

 hot chocolate,

 matcha pancakes

and waffle.

It was a good catch-up session.

Dining with old friends

Caught up with an old friend on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Pepper's Cafe located at Tanahmas Hotel, 96000 Sibu.

We had Penang char kuay teow, 

Mas club sandwich, salad with fries,

iced lemon tea with longan and starfruit juice.

The hotel lobby is decorated nicely for Christmas.

On Friday, December 30, 2016, we managed to catch up with another old friend over dinner at Bandong Cafe. The two of us ordered green tea lemon juice and sour plum juice while waiting for him.

We had sea cucumber soup, grilled stingray, squid mayonnaise, Thai-style squid, stir-fried midin and chicken satay.

None of us is a big eater so we didn't finish the dishes. Nevertheless, it was a good catch-up session.

Sunday afternoon break at Makan Space and The Coffee Code

Caught up with an old friend on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Makan Space Cafe located at Wisma Sanyan, Jalan Sanyan, 96000 Sibu.

We had Sarawak laksa,

chicken wings,

Korean seafood pancake,

and I had a teapot of red tea.

A lot of things on the menu were not available so we left for another cafe, The Coffee Code. 

The Coffee Code is located at Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg, 96000 Sibu. Its business hours are from 1 pm to 11pm daily.

We had hot chocolate,

ice-blended chocolate

and black bean with barley waffle.

Instead of catching up on current update, we reminisced over our school days.

Movie Day at Mid Valley

On Saturday, June 27, 2015, we had lunch at Noodle Station located at S-069, 2nd Floor, Mid Valley Mega Mall, 59200 KL.

It is called Noodle Station but noodles are not the only food in the menu. It also serves a wide range of local and western food including rice dishes, sandwiches, chicken chop, fish and chip, steak, etc.

However, we chose to have noodles, springy noodle with chicken delight roll topped with luscious pieces of chicken roll and deep fried chicken dumplings and springy noodle with fish ball topped with fish balls, fish cakes and deep fried chicken dumplings.

After lunch, we watched movie ~ Avengers: Age of Ultron... I know, I know, it was released on April 30, 2015 and we just watched it now :| A bit outdated but at least we're not the only ones... It was not an empty hall. 

Right after the movie, we went for dessert at Jonker Sweets Dessert. We had red bean (RM4.50) and pak kor fu chuk (RM4.50).

Caught up with an old friend for dinner today at Peppers Cafe, Tanahmas Hotel located at Lot 277, Block 5, Jalan Kampung Nyabor, 96007 Sibu.

We had honeydew juice,

 

fuzhon style kuay teow,

Singapore style mee hoon

and dessert,
matcha cheese cake and black charcoal cheese cake. 
 

Didn't expect the portion of the noodles is so big ~ definitely not a portion for one person ~ that we can't even finish... We didn't even finish the desserts... Would've ordered one if we have known :(
