Cameron Highlands

On Saturday, August 5, 2017, my colleagues and I went for an impromptu trip to Cameron Highlands.  Cameron HIghlands is situated at northwestern tip of Pahang. Our initial plan was to go on one-day road trip to eat durian. I've never been to Cameron Highlands so I suggested to go there. We had nasi lemak for breakfast before we left around 9 am.

Our first stop was (of course) at a durian shack. We ate 3 on the spot and brought back the rest.
We also made a few more stops.

At 2 pm, we stopped at Cameron Valley.
We stopped for scones with jam at the cafe
with a beautiful scenery of the tea plantation.
Entrance to the tea plantation is RM2 where we spent less than 15 minutes.

After that, we stopped at a strawberry farm.

We just got to try the homemade strawberry ice-cream.
Once we reached Brinchang, we stopped to look for accommodation. We didn't book any hotel so we just went to a few hotels and decided to check in at Hotel Remix.

In the evening, we went for steamboat dinner at Glory 78 Steamboat & Snack Corner.

We enjoyed the dinner. It was worth it.
After the filling dinner, we went to the night market. It was hard to find a parking spot as it was at residential area.  It was crowded but we managed to make our way through the crowd.

The next morning, at 7.50 am, we went to the farmer's market before breakfast.

At 10.15 am, we stopped at Boh Tea Plantation. The Sungai Palas Tea Centre is open everyday, except Monday, from 9am to 4.30pm. We entered the factory and learned the steps in tea processing. We left at 12.20 pm.

At 1.15 pm, we stopped at Strawberry Point till 1.40 pm. We had lunch at KFC before leaving for KL at 2.35 pm. We reached KL around 6 pm. Overall, it was a fun-filled weekend. Now I can gladly say that I've been to Cameron Highlands.

Coming up next is supporting the Malaysian athletes for SEA Games KL 2017.
