Lunch at Cili Kampung

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, six of my colleagues and I had lunch at Cili Kampung Restaurant located at Lot V-02, Hartamas Walk, Hartamas Shopping Centre, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Taman Sri Hartamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

We shared masak lomak chicken, sambal prawn, terung goreng belacan and telur dadar. I had apple asam boi while the rest had sirap.

Brunch and dessert in Seremban

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, my friend and I had brunch at The Muffin House located at 277, Jalan S2 B12, Uptown Avenue Seremban 2, 70300 Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 10.30am to 9pm.

My friend had The Boss Big Breakfast (RM20.88) which comes with black coffee 

while I had Aussie Brekkie (RM30) and ginger lemongrass (RM19.72).

We also shared the chicken gyoza (RM15).

Otherwise would definitely come back even without voucher.

After brunch, we had cendol at Cendol Songkok Tinggi located at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. It opens daily from 9am to 6.30pm. I had durian cendol (RM6.90) while my friend had gula apong ice-cream (RM6.90). We also shared the cucur ikan bilis and I ordered lontong to take-away.

Kaul Mukah 2023

Kaul is a Melanau annual festival usually held in the end of April. The word "kaul" means "coming together" in Melanau language. Pesta Kaul is a festival with Melanau food, games and beauty pageant competition. This year, it was held from Wednesday, April 26 to Monday, May 1.

My brother and I left Kuching at 6am and reached Sibu at 11am. We stopped for lunch at food court where I had rice with fried talapia and barley juice.

We left Sibu at 3pm and reached Mukah at 5pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023. 

We went to Pesta Kaul straight away. This is the first time I have ever been to Pesta Kaul considering I have always wanted to go but the timing was not right so glad that I finally made it this year.

There are 2 tibow available ~ didn't take a photo though. Tibow is a 20-foot high swing where youths dive from a high bamboo and catch a swinging rope as it reaches the height of its arc. Then one after another up to eight people hang in a clump from the giant swing. 

Five of us visited the stalls and walked along the beach. We had dinner there after we had the gula apong ice-cream which was so sweet. Yeah, we have desserts before dinner.

My brothers and sister-in-law joined the 5km fun run on Monday, May 1, 2023.

My brother and I left Mukah at 3pm and reached Sibu at 5pm on Monday, May 1, 2023.

Till next week, happy to be in Sarawak more than once a year again.

Lunch at Food Avenue, AEON Mall

Food Avenue is located in AEON Mall Kuching Central, Lorong Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, 8, Min Chu Garden, 93200 Kuching. It opens daily from 10am to 10pm. We went there for lunch on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

I had tomyam yong tau foo (RM9.60) and watermelon juice (RM8) while my brother had clear soup yong tau foo and lemon juice.

My uncle had chicken salad from Kenny Rogers Restaurant next door.

My sister had rice with butter chicken and lime juice.

Breakfast at Duduksama Kopitiam

Duduksama Kopitiam is located at Block B1, Jalan Saradise, Taman BDC Saradise, 93350 Kuching. It opens daily from 7am to 6pm. We went there for breakfast on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

 I had mee kolok merah (RM6.90) and barley lemon (RM3.50).

My brother had laksa Sarawak (RM6.90)

and cendol (RM6.90)

while my uncle only had two boiled eggs (RM3.00).

Konsert 3 Suara Volume 3

My friend bought our tickets (RM299 each) to Konsert Satu Suara Volume 3 on Saturday, April 1, 2023. 

The concert was held on Saturday, May 13, 2023. We had dinner at Teppanyaki, Sungai Wang Plaza. I had niko soba (RM16.90) and green tea (RM3.50) while my friend had salmon teppanyaki set. 

We reached the Mega Stars Arena, Sungai Wang Plaza at 8.20pm. Our seats are U38 and U39. There is no restrictions to take photos or videos during the concert so the audience can just take photos or record the performances.

It was a great performance by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Jay Jay and Ernie Zakri. The concert started at 8.58pm and ended at 11.28pm.

Till next week, hoping that we'll be able to get the tickets for Coldplay concert which starts selling at 10am today.

Dinner at Peranakan Place and Dessert at Jardine Coffee & Tea

Last Thursday, April 6, 2023, two of us had dinner at Peranakan Place located at Lot L5-03, 5th Floor, Nu Sentral, 201, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, 50470 Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 11am to 9pm daily.

We managed to book a spot and we ordered their Ramadan set (RM139.10): Assam fish, honey sotong, kailan and rice. The set doesn't include drinks so we ordered lemon tea (RM8 per glass).
