Celebrating birthday at Mighty Monster

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, I treated a friend for her birthday lunch at Mighty Monster located at G-019, Ground Floor, MyTown Shopping Centre, No.6, Jalan Cochrane, Seksyen 90, Cheras, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. Her actual birthday was on June 16.

 Its opening hours are from 10am to 11pm daily.

I had cranberry juice (RM12) and she had lychee iced tea (RM10).

I had MFC sandwich (RM31.32) and she had monster burger (RM41.76).

After lunch, we went to MyKori Dessert Cafe located at G-019, Ground Floor, MyTown Shopping Centre, No.6, Jalan Cochrane, Seksyen 90, Cheras, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. Its opening hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. We shared chocoreo mini (RM12) and Kenko Kakigori (RM14) ~ yogurt ice, dragon fruit, mango, granola oats, toasted almond dice, coconut flakes with chia seeds.

Celebrating birthday at Roofino Skydining & Bar

On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, I treated a friend for her birthday dinner at Roofino Skydining & Bar located at 34th Floor, 338, Trillion KL, Jalan Tun Razak, 55000 Kuala Lumpur.  Its opening hours are from 11am to 12am from Monday to Friday and from 4pm to 1am on Saturday and Sunday.

 I had watermelon juice (RM23.20) and my friend had pina colada (RM40.60). 
We shared chicken mango and salmon bruschetta (RM29),

 squid ink pizza (RM90.50)

 and beef meatballs spaghetti (RM40.60).

 Lastly, we had red velvet tiramisu cake (RM23) for the birthday girl.

Afternoon tea at Altitude

On Sunday, March 15, 2020, my friend and I went for afternoon tea at Altitude, Banyan Tree KL located at No.2, Level 53, Jalan Conlay, 50450 KL. We were there from 2pm to 4.30pm.

The afternoon tea set includes tempura smoked salmon maki roll (sherry mayonnaise, carrots & balsamic tomato gazpacho dip), bite size sandwiches (roast beef with bresaola, turkey ham with emmental cheese, egg and tobiko mayonnaise & tuna with smoked tomato gel), mangosteen macaron (chocolate ganache and mangosteen gel), matcha travel cake (almond sponge & matcha pastry cream), mango Victoria bite (Victoria sponge, mango cream & fresh mango), pandan choux (choux pastry, pandan cream & milk chocolate mousse), crispy kaffir lime cheesecake (lime cheesecake, Feuille de Brick), black seed cake pop (chocolate cake & black seed), sweet potato chocolate tart (chocolate ganache & baked sweet potato) and classic plain scone & cranberry scone served with authentic clotted cream & house-made figs cassis jam. It comes with selection of coffee or tea where I had hot chocolate and my friend had teh tarik.

Lunch at Gajah Mada

Gajah Mada by The Majapahit is located at G-021 & G-E-021, MyTown, No.6, Jalan Cochrane, Seksyen 90, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. It opens from 11am to 10pm daily.

Went there for lunch on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Ordered soursop juice (RM9.90) and The Majapahit mini flying fish set (RM37.90) served with steamed rice, savoury corn fritters, sambal kering tempe, emping crackers and soup.

After lunch, I had MyKori kenko kakgori (RM15) ~ yogurt+mango & honeydew+almonds, granola oats, coconut flakes with chia seeds.

Brunch at Little Rimba

Little Rimba Cafe is located at No.1, Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 7, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. It opens from 7.30am to 10pm daily except Friday.

Four of us went there for brunch on Saturday, March 7, 2020. I had hot barley (RM2.83) and my friends had hot latte (RM7.99), mango + pineapple cold pressed juice (RM11.19) and hot teh tarik (RM3) with warm water (RM0.44 each). 

We shared sago gula Melaka (RM4.98), roti Benggali with kaya (RM6), hearty breakfast (RM13.72), toasted bagel egg and turkey slice (RM12.71), lontong (RM12.01), laksa Johor (RM12.01)

 and kacang phool (RM13.69).

Celebrating Boss's 50th Birthday

On Friday, February 28, 2020, we celebrated our boss's birthday with lunch at Restoran Sederhana located at 21G, Daju 5 Darul Ihsan, Jalan Barat, Seksyen 8, 46050 Petaling Jaya. Its opening hours are from 10 am to 10 pm daily. His actual birthday is on March 1.

 He was surprised and excited to see the cake. Glad that he like it!

Later in the evening, eight of us threw him another surprise at Arte Plus KLCC by Luxury Suites Asia located at Jalan Bemban, Kampung Berembang, 55000 KL.

Kesuma Jiwa

Kesuma Jiwa is a fashion show cum concert to celebrate 20 years of friendship between Dato' Rizalman Ibrahim and Dayang Nurfaizah binti Awang Dowty. Tickets to the concert in Istana Budaya were sold out within 15 minutes after they went on sale at 10am on Monday, October 28, 2019. The tickets start from RM150 to RM500.  Was lucky to get two tickets to the concert.

Dress code is baju Melayu hitam teluk belanga/cekak musang bersamping or black suit for male and baju kurung/kurung moden/kebaya paras lutut berselendang for female.

We reached Istana Budaya at 6pm and walked around waiting like the rest.

Audience is not allowed to take photos or videos during the concert so none taken until the Gurindam Jiwa song. The songs performed during the concert are:

The concert started at 8.35pm and ended at 11.15pm.

We had dinner at Hometown Hainan Coffee located at No.7-LG-1, Block A, Megan Salak Park, Jalan 2/125E,  Taman Desa Petaling, 57100 Kuala Lumpur after the concert. We both had fried kuay teow and hot lemon tea.

Till next week, it was a great concert and definitely worth the wait and effort to buy the tickets.
