Dinner at Pasta Zanmai

Pasta Zanmai is located at Lot 4.18 & 19, Level 4, Nu Sentral MallIt is a Japanese casual pasta restaurant. It opens from 10am to 10pm dailyMy ex-colleague and I went there for dinner on Friday, August 5, 2016.
 We shared salmon sashimi salad (RM22),
 salmon to cheese no mentaiko tortilla roll (RM16),
 salmon mentaiyaki to spicy pasta (RM33),
 seafood cheese pizza (RM17),
chocolate cake and green tea cake for dessert.
 Location ~ next door to the office
Food presentation ~ acceptable
Portion ~ average
Taste ~ good
Price ~ quite pricey
Service ~ alright

My Day

I received the one and only birthday card on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.
On Sunday, July 17, 2016, I redeemed my birthday spa treat at Vrelain by SERUM located at The Gardens.
 The spa treat consists of upper back scrub, upper back massage, body beautiful bath, herbal stone, hair and scalp treatment among others. It was really relaxing.
On Sunday, July 24, 2016, I had lunch with two friends at Top Steak House located at Jalan Tasik Utama 3, Lake Field, Sungai Besi, 57000 KL.
We had seafood spaghetti,
(the dish was cold and the gravy should be thicker)
lamb chop
(this dish is also cold)
and smoked salmon.
On Monday, July 25, 2016, I had lunch treat from a colleague at Sushi Zanmai, Nu Sentral Mall.

In the evening, I had dinner treat at Wooden Pallet located at 10,Jalan 14/149I,  Sri Petaling, 57000 KL.
It was empty when we came in.
It serves salad, burger, pasta, pizza, noodles, soup and snacks with coffee, tea and fresh juices.
I had watermelon juice.
We shared all cheese pizza
~ it was deliciously cheesy ~
and lamb chop with mashed potato and salad.
After dinner, we went to Lo Faro Caffe located at No.16 & 18, Medan Ramah, Taman Serangkai, 58200 KL.
It was also empty when we came in. 
We had chocolate fudge and carrot cake.

Farewell Lunch at Amarin Heavenly Thai

We had a farewell lunch for two colleagues whose last working day was on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 for one and the other will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. 

Twenty of us went to Amarin Heavenly Thai restaurant on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. It is a Thai restaurant located at S045, Level 2, Centre Court, Mid Valley Megamall, 59200 Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 10 am to 10 pm daily.

We pre-ordered a set for 4 people (RM50) which consists of tomyam, kerabu mangga, steamed seabass, oyster fried eggs and fried bean curd with lemongrass or rose syrup juice.
The night before, five of us went for drink at Mai Bar located on the rooftop of Aloft KL Sentral. Its business hours are from 12pm to 12am on Sunday to Wednesday and 11am to 1pm on Thursday to Saturday.
That was the first time I went there and I enjoy the environment.

Lunch at Paddington House of Pancakes

Paddington House of Pancakes is located at Lot LG-17, Lower Ground, Nu Sentral Mall. Its business hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. Three of us went there for lunch on Friday, September 18, 2015.

I had Wellington burger (RM21) ~ grilled chicken, smokey BBQ sauce, peppers, pineapple ring, cheddar and fries ~

My colleagues had classic buckleberry (RM18) blueberry flapjacks with scrambled eggs, mushrooms, cream cheese and beef rashers served with maple syrup ~
 and Amatriciana pasta (RM17) ~ homemade tomato sauce, chopped tomatoes, chilli, sunny side up and basil.
Fast forward, we went there for lunch again on Friday, July 31, 2016.
This time I had Pot of Gold (RM14)
~ dollar pancakes with marshmallows, nuts, ice-cream and chocolate sauce ~
 and my colleagues had pancakes stack with ice-cream,
 Big Treasure Box (RM18) ~ dollar pancakes with strawberries, lychees, banana, nuts, raisins, peaches, plum and ice-cream ~
Location ~ next door to the office
Food presentation ~ alright
Taste ~ good
Price ~ affordable
Service ~ slow
Coming back? ~ maybe a year later :D

Lunch at LDG Brasserie Cafe

LDG Brasserie Cafe is located at G2, Ground Floor, Faber Towers, Jalan Desa Bahagia, 58100 KL.
Its business hours are from 10pm to 10pm daily.
Went there for lunch on Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
We ordered watermelon juice (RM12.90) and wildberry iced tea peach (RM8.50),
 Ratatouille with baked egg and crusty baguette (worth RM20.20)
 and Arrabiatta spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce, shredded beef bacon and basil oil (worth RM19.10).
The lunch set which costs RM19 comes with soup of the day (worth RM15.90).

Food presentation ~ appealing
Taste ~ delicious
Price ~ affordable
Service ~ can't really understand what the waiters said and they missed out our order for tea until we reminded them when they delivered the food
Coming back? ~ probably not

Breakfast at Poppo Kanteen

Poppo Kanteen is located at 26, Jalan Manis 4, Taman Bukit Segar, 56000 Cheras. Its business operation is from 8am to 12am daily.
We went there for breakfast after our morning walk at Taman Tasik Permaisuri on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
It serves nasi lemak (of course), bread, fries, wedges, spaghetti, chicken chop with variety of rice, noodles and beverages.
We had the classic nasi lemak (RM5.90) and hot lemon tea (RM3.90).

Brunch at Macaroni Food & Coffee Cafe

Macaroni Food & Coffee Cafe is located at Faber Tower, Jalan Desa Bahagia, Taman Desa, 58100 Kuala LumpurIts opening hours is from 10am to 10pm daily. Currently there are 2 outlets in Klang Valley. The other one is in Shah Alam. It serves authentic western cuisines.

Went there on Sunday, May 29, 2016.

Ordered homemade wild mushroom soup (RM15) served with shimeji mushroom cream toppings with sprinkle of chives, carrot juice (RM10),
croissant with tuna and turkey ham (RM18) served with tomato salsa, butter and mix salad,
Irish lamb stew (RM35) served with onion bread, mix vegetables and lamb gravy and lime juice (RM8). The lamb is so tender and the thickness of the gravy is just right. At first I thought the portion is small but it is not so. Took a while to finish...
