Celebrating birthday at The Hungry Spoon Cafe

On Saturday, April 9, 2016, treated a friend for lunch at The Hungry Spoon Cafe. Her actual birthday was on Friday, April 8.  It is located at 6, Jalan Radin Bagus 9, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 KL. Opening hours are from 12 pm to 11 pm daily except Monday and Tuesday.

 We ordered 'The Piment Blanc'
~ mixed seafood with chillies, homemade chilli paste and creamy white sauce ~

 Aloha Sunrise pizza
~ chicken pieces, turkey ham, pineapple, cheese, homemade tomato sauce and sunny side up egg ~ 

 Chicken philly cheese sandwich
~ cheddar, sliced chicken breast and fries ~

and sundae.

Location ~ not too far

Food presentation ~ alright

Taste ~ delicious

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ great

Lunch at Sepiring

Sepiring is located at Lot FK010, First Floor, South Court, Mid Valley Megamall. Currently there are 3 outlets in Klang Valley. Its opening hours is from 9.30 am to 10pm daily. Went there on Saturday, March 5, 2016. The All-Day Set comes with hot dessert and peached tea.

We had nasi lemak with rendang ayam kunyit,

 herbal treasure soup with ginkgo nuts, white fungus, winter melon and dried longan with peached tea (RM18.90) and

Ipoh hor fun

~ thin rice noodles served in chicken broth laced with prawn oil topped with shredded chicken, whole prawns, bean sprouts and chives ~

pulut hitam with tong yuen (black sesame and peanut) and
 peached tea (RM16.90).

Location ~ convenient as it is at a shopping mall

Taste ~ alright

Price ~ reasonable

Service ~ good

Lunch at IGA Express

IGA Express is located at Nu Sentral Mall. Its business hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. It serves Indonesian cuisine. My colleague and I went there for lunch on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

 Both of us had Empal Penyet ~ flattened fried beef (RM14.90) ~ 
white rice (RM2.50) and hot lemon tea (RM5.90).

Location ~ next door to the office

Food presentation ~ acceptable

Taste ~ not too bad

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ slow

Breakfast at Cosans Coffee

Cosans Coffee Cafe is located at 34, Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. Currently there are 7 outlets in Klang Valley.

Its opening hours is from 9am to 1am on Sunday to Thursday and 9am to 2am on Friday, Saturday and public holidays.

Went there on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

The place was empty when we came in.

The menu includes sandwiches and cakes.

To make an order, step 1 is to choose the bread ~ panini, sundried tomato foccacia, ciabatta or parmesan cheese ~ and step 2 is to choose the filling ~ turkey melt, meaty meat, chicky shroom, ultimate sandwich, smokey salmon or smoked duck.

We had ultimate sandwich ~ beef bacon, tomato, grilled chicken, egg, cheddar cheese & pineapple chutney (RM18) ~

and smokey salmon (RM18) ~ smoked salmon, caramelised onion, capers, daikon and lemon dill sauce ~

 with chamomile tea (RM10).

Food presentation ~ alright

Taste ~ yummy

Price ~ quite pricey

Service ~ good

Dessert at Nom

On Saturday, February 20, 2016, we went for dinner at Mikey's Original New York Pizza located at 7, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur where we tried their classic New York pizza (RM8.88) and pizza bianco (RM10.88).

After our dinner, we went for dessert at Nom located at Lot 1/F-28, Bangsar Village II, 2, Jalan Telawi 1, Bangsar Baru, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. 

 We had chocolate brownie with nom's signature New York cheesecake ice-cream (RM18) and raspberry spaghetti (RM20) ~ liquid cheese cake, nom's signature raspberry ripple ice-cream and chocolate wafer.

The raspberry thingy was too sweet so just left it there. Guess it was so obvious that they didn't charge for it. They just charged for a single ice-cream scoop (RM10).

Dinner at Magnum Cafe

After we watched the movie, Deadpool at GSC IOI City Mall on Saturday, February 13, 2016, we had dinner at Magnum Cafe. It opens from 10am to 10pm daily.

We started with chocolate and vanilla ice-cream (RM9.90 each),

followed by carbonara spaghetti with beef bacon (RM36)

and chicken & salted egg spaghetti (RM26).

Lunch at Zawara Coffee

Zawara Coffee Cafe is located at 3-25-01, Jalan Medan Pusat Bandar 8, Bangi Sentral, Seksyen 9, Bandar Baru Bangi, 43650 Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 9am to 11pm on Sunday till Thursday and from 9am to 12am on Friday and Saturday. We went there for lunch on Monday, February 8, 2016.

 We ordered cheese meltz burger (RM15),

 soft shell crab burger (RM23),

salted egg chicken wings (RM19)

 and churros chocolate (RM10).

My drink ~ Hot Belgian chocolate (RM10).
