Breakfast at Coffea Coffee

Last Sunday, October 19, 2014, I had breakfast with an old friend. Ever since she left for Perth to further her studies and later to work at Melbourne, we have managed to meet up every time she came back to Malaysia which is almost once a year. The last time we met was when I went to Melbourne in May 2013.

We decided to have breakfast nearby her place so we just drove around to see if there is any cafe open for breakfast at 9am. Ended up at Coffea Coffee, A-10, SS15/14D, 47500 Subang Jaya. Apparently there are four outlets in Klang Valley and this outlet was opened in June 2013.

We shared the Big Breakfast (RM19.90)

and French toast (RM14.90)

The breakfast set comes with a cup of coffee so she had both, Costa Rica Tarrazu and Ethiopia Sidamo G4 while I had chamomile tea.

It was a pleasant meal in pleasant company despite limited time.

In The Customer's Shoes

In conjunction with our company's academy 2nd anniversary celebration, we are challenged  to deliver our best customer service skills at KidZania. KidZania is located at Curve NX, No.18, Jalan PJU7/5, Mutiara Damansara, 47810 PJ. The KidZania Challenge was held for 11 days from September 29 to October 14, 2014, from 4.30pm to 8.30pm. Each day one group which consists of around 160 staff will take up the challenge at KidZania.  The group was then further divided into four teams of different colours ~ red, orange, green and blue.  T-shirt is given out based on team colour.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2014, it's my turn to go to Kidzania.

The curtain for KidZania Challenge was closed on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 with a birthday song and a special presentation by the KidZania crew to commemorate the academy 2nd anniversary.  The overall champions are Red and Orange teams ~ each scored 94 points. Green team scored 86 points while Blue team scored 72 points.

It was a fun experience, wouldn't mind doing it all over again ^.~

Watching The Equalizer

On Friday, September 26, 2014, my department went to TGV Cinemas, KLCC and watched The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington. It was an initiative to get life balance ~ not just work. Good one coz the last time I watched movie was on September 27, 2013. 

We each got popcorn and soft drink.

It was a really violent movie. Right after the movie, my department went for dinner at Nando's. I didn't join them, though. It would have been fun coz we don't get to chat much in the office.

Celebrating birthday at Chili's Grill & Bar

On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, four of us treated our colleague for dinner at Chili's Grill & Bar on his birthday eve.  There are eight outlets in Klang Valley and we went to their outlet at Lot G(E)-12, Mid Valley Megamall, Mid Valley City, 59200 KL. Opening hours are from 11 am to 12 am daily.

We shared chicken salad,

crispy honey-chipotle chicken crispers
~ strips of hand-battered chicken, breaded & fried with spicy and smoky Honey-Chipotle sauce served with sweet corn on the cob and homestyle fries ~

fire-grilled chicken & Portobello
~ fire grilled chicken breasts with marinated Portobello mushroom served over zesty peppercorn sauce with loaded mashed potatoes & veggies ~

and of course, birthday cake ~ Oreo cheese cake ~

There are at least four other people celebrated their birthdays at the restaurant that night. Too many for the waiters to even remember the name by the time they sang the birthday song at our table...

Kordel's Charity Walk 2014

On Sunday, September 21, 2014, I joined the 6th Annual Kordel's Charity Walk for Healthy Joints with three of my ex-colleagues. Joined it two years ago and missed it last year.

Collection of T-shirts and bibs were on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur between 2 to 5 pm.

We were flagged off at 7.18am after a warm-up session. The 7km walk started and ended at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur. 

We received a certificate of participation, a goodie bag 

 which includes free vouchers

 and a finisher medal upon completion.

We stayed on after the walk for lucky draw but no luck :(

Anyway, it was real fun. Nice catch-up with ex-colleagues :)

My Day

This year I've decided to move on to work at another company :) 
*fingers crossed* everything goes well and I'll be living my life happy with no regrets.

Celebration began on Monday, July 21, 2014 with lunch at Sushi Tei, Pavilion with a colleague who was born on the same day. 

We chose to have Sanma Butter to Taru-taru Chicken Set 

~ chicken karaage with taru-taru sauce and pan fried sanma, steam rice, miso soup, chawanmushi, pickles and tofu salad ~

 and soba with tempura.

On Friday, July 25,2014, I had dinner with a friend at Signature Cafearo by Yves located at 1 Shamelin Mall, Taman Shamelin Perkasa, 55300 KL.

 We had celery and green apple mix and green apple with sour plum juice,

Oceanic Secret Night ~ sliced smoked salmon, caviar, capers, pumpkin cubes, sundried tomato stir-fry with black olive paste and 

soft-shell crab mustard cheese burger

 as well as carrot cake, brownies and cheese cake.

Lastly, lunch with two ex-colleagues on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Mi Na Rae Korean Restaurant located at 39, Jalan Radin Bagus, Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 57000 KL.

The Happiest 5K on the planet

The Color Run was founded in January 2012 as an event to promote healthiness and happiness by bringing the community together to participate in the "Happiest 5k on the Planet". It is a 5km,un-timed race where participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each km. The colors are basically food grade corn starch.

 On Sunday, August 17, 2014, I joined the Color Run 2014 at Padang Merbok with an ex-colleague.

on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at eCurve, Mutiara Damansara.

 We were flagged off at 7am after a warm up session and released in waves.

It was so much fun... from start to the finish line!

We have been looking forward to this run for a long time and finally...
