Celebrating birthday at Ruma Puteh Cafe

On Saturday July 1, 2023, I treated a friend for birthday lunch at Ruma Puteh Cafe located at 60A, Jalan Kuantan, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, 54200 Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 9am to 8pm. Her actual birthday is on July 4.

It is a run-down place of business, not well maintained.

I had spaghetti beef bolognese (RM32.89) and hot lemon tea (RM13.20) while my friend had chicken pesto (RM29.59) and hot lemon tea too. 

We shared serene green salad (RM25.19)

and of course, the birthday cake, burnt cheese cake (RM17.60).

It was a hot sunny afternoon so we sat indoor instead of the garden.

After lunch, my friend treated me at Petite Maison located at A-C2, Pavilion Embassy, 200, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 8am to 10pm.

I had main squeeze (RM25) while she had uji matcha latte (RM16). We shared banana cake which was on the house after we informed them that it was dry and hard despite good taste.

Celebrating birthday at Mantra Rooftop Bar & Lounge

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, I treated a friend for her birthday dinner at Mantra Rooftop Bar & Lounge located at Bangsar Village II, Jalan Telawi 1, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It opens at 4.30pm daily and closes at 1am from Sunday to Tuesday and 2am from Wednesday to Saturday. Her actual birthday was on June 19.

Happy hours are from 3pm to 7pm. We arrived at 6pm.

I had aqua fresca ~ herradura  plata tequila, fresh watermelon juice, sweet basil and passion fruit (RM41.76) while my friend had mantra calamansi soda (RM20.88). 

We shared mantra mautau sliders  (RM52.20) ~ two soft shell crabs, seabass fillet, wild mushroom and fried chicken ~

We moved outdoor after 8pm. I had mantra lychee watermelon peach (RM23.20) and my friend had mantra grapefruit soda (RM20.88).

We shared loaded nachos (RM32.48).

Lunch at Hidang Restaurant and durian at Durian BB Park

On Saturday, June 17, 2023, my friend and I had lunch at Hidang Restaurant located at 20, Jalan Mesra, Off Jalan Damai, 55000 Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 11am to 6pm and closes on Friday.

 Reservation is required so my friend texted the restaurant for reservation but was informed to just walk-in. 

It was full when we arrived at 12.05 pm and we have to wait for 10 minutes before we got a table.

I had hot lemon (RM3.90) while my friend had sirap bandung (RM3.90).

We had rice (RM7.80) and shared keli berlado (RM29.90), jenahak asam pedas (RM29.90), daging salai masak lemak (RM29.90) and telur dadar (RM12.90). 

We also shared chocolate cake (RM14.90) as dessert.

Celebrating birthday at Skyhill Fusion Restaurant

On Thursday, June 15, 2023, I treated a friend for birthday dinner at Skyhill Fusion Restaurant located at 34th floor, Sky Deck @ AVANTE Hotel, 1, Persiaran Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Her actual birthday is on June 21.

We started the evening with cocktails, mine is The Jungle Bird and hers is The Side Car.

We shared Nachos (RM32.48), crispy calamari, 100g (RM32.48), braised beef brisket (RM125.28), garlic butter cheesy pizza (RM32.48)

and of course, the birthday cake, nutty chocolate mousse and lemon meringue.

The sunset view is spectacular.
