Lunch and dessert at Lola by Serai Group

On Sunday, January 22, 2023, my friend and I had lunch at Lola by Serai Group Restaurant located at 2A, Jalan Bukit Kiara 1, Bukit Kiara, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. It opens daily from 8.30am to 10pm.

My friend had mango juice (RM20.88) while I had watermelon (RM19.72).

My friend had beef moussaka (RM55.68)

~ greek style lasagna with eggplant, potato, and bechamel sauce ~

while I had lamb souvlaki (RM52.20) 

~ flat bread, fresh tomato, sumac onion, lettuce heart, yoghurt sauce, and smoked chilli sauce served with fries ~

After lunch, I had English breakfast tea (RM15.08) and orange suji cake (RM20.88) 

while my friend had caffe latte (RM15.08) and banana cake with ice-cream (RM17.40).

Lunch at Congkak Restaurant

On Saturday, January 21, 2023, my ex-colleague and I had lunch at Congkak Restaurant located at Lot G51, The Curve, Jalan PJU 7/3, Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. It opens daily from 10am to 10pm.

I ordered nasi daging dendeng and calamansi while she ordered lontong.

Location ~ convenient as it is in a shopping mall

Portion ~ standard

Taste ~ passable for daging dendeng but not for lontong

Price ~ exorbitant

Celebrating birthday at Superfluous Cafe

 On Saturday, January 6, 2023, I treated a friend for her birthday breakfast at Superfluous Cafe located at 35, Jalan Bukit Desa 5, Taman Bukit Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. Her actual birthday is on January 3.

The birthday cake was brought in before the other food and drinks. However, we ate the pandan cake (RM16) last after we finished eating the rest. 

I had orange juice (RM12) and my friend had oat milk latte (RM16). We shared asam laksa tartine (RM11)

and smoked salmon bagel (RM26)

Dinner at Day & Night Cafe

Caught up with a friend for dinner on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Day & Night Cafe located at 70, Lorong Lau King Howe 1, 96000 Sibu. It opens daily from 11am to 10pm except Monday.

I had fish & chips (RM19.90) and longan juice (RM4) while my friend had chicken chop (RM19.90) and longan syrup drink (RM5). We also shared calamari (RM8.50).

Celebrating Christmas 2022

Received my first gift on Saturday, December 10, 2022. I had lunch at Park 28 Restaurant located at 28, Persiaran Surian, Mutiara Damansara, 47810 Petaling Jaya, Selangor with my friend. 

I had Park28 Special cocktail (RM30.80) while my friend had AK-47 cocktail (RM38.50).

We shared the calamari ring (RM26.40),

King salmon mentai gratin (RM74.80), 

 tartufo wild mushroom (RM38.50), 

and garlic cajun prawn pizza (RM41.80).

Unlike previous years, I was back in the office on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Nine of us had lunch at Christine's Bakery located at Lot 17-19, Level G3, Publika Shopping Gallery, No.1, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.  It opens daily from 8am to 9pm. 

We exchanged Christmas gift before lunch was served. 

I had Mary's lamb aglio olio (RM33) 

~ Montreal rubbed lamb shoulder, baby spinach, roasted cherry tomato, garlic and red chilli flakes ~

while two of my colleagues had Fishermen's clam aglio olio (RM33)

~ baby hard clam simmered in light seafood broth infused with garlic and red chilli flakes ~

After lunch, we had dessert at Salon Du Chocolat located at Lot 26-27, Level G2, Publika Shopping Gallery, No.1, Jalan Dutamas 1, Solaris Dutamas, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.
