On Sunday, July 17, 2022, I treated a friend for her belated birthday at Tamarind Springs located at Jalan 1, Taman Tun Abdul Razak, 68000 Ampang, Selangor. Her actual birthday was on July 4.
We started with Sangonese fresh shrimp crystal rolls and crispy shrimp and crabmeat spring rolls as appetisers, followed by red tom yam with mixed seafood, deep fried fish, Vietnamese stir-fried chicken with lemongrass and cashew nuts, Vietnamese style grilled eggplant with coconut sauce, Laotian beef BBQ with fried red chilli sauce and Thai style stir-fried squid with basil leaves. For desserts, we had mango sticky rice, fruit platter and young coconut jelly.
Lastly, a chocolate cake for the birthday girl. Didn't expect it to be a big one instead of a normal small piece of cake. My friend had to bring it back home as we can't finish it 😅
