Lunch at Suki-Ya and dessert at Mighty Monster

Six of us and my friend's two daughters went for buffet lunch at Suki-Ya located at IPC Shopping Centre, L1-17, Level 1, 2, Jalan PJU 7/2, Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Buffet lunch (RM34.80++) is from 11.30am to 5pm and buffet dinner (RM41.80++) is from 5pm to 10pm daily. Additional RM3 is imposed for weekend and public holiday.

There are four tasty four bases to choose from

shabu shabu ~ wafer thin slices of meat dipped into simmering konbu borth ~

sukiyaki ~ sweetened soy-sauce broth ~

miso soup ~ fermented soybeans, full of antioxidants ~

kimuchi ~ mildly spicy soup made with authentic kimchi base, spicy miso and various vegetable base ~

After lunch, we went to Mighty Monster located at G-26, No.2, Jalan PJU 7/2, Mutiara Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya.  Opening hours are from 10am to 12am.

We shared two waffles.

Lunch at Tujoh Cafe

Tujoh Cafe is located at 617, Jalan 17/10, Seksyen 17, 46400 Petaling Jaya. Its operating hours are from 11am to 11pm from Monday to Thursday, from 11am to 12am on Friday and Saturday and from 11am to 10pm on Sunday.

Went there for lunch on Monday, June 10, 2019 with my colleague. I ordered tomyam soup with rice & lemonade (RM18)

 while my colleague ordered carbonara spaghetti & lemonade (RM12).

Watching Spider-Man: Far From Home

Last Friday, July 12, 2019, I went to GSC Cinemas, Pavilion KL on our reinsurer's invitation with two of my colleagues and watched Spider-Man: Far From Home starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man. We each got popcorn and soft drink or mineral water.

We were also invited for buffet dinner at Grandmama's right before the movie.

Till next week, it felt good coz the last time I watched movie was on October 12, 2018.

Hari Raya Open House 2019

On Saturday, June 29, 2019, I went to my colleague's open house at Jalan Kenanga, Kampung Sungai Tua Baru, Batu Caves at noon. We had asam laksa,

 nasi lemak ayam rendang

 and vegetarian fried noodles for our vegetarian colleague.

The next day, June 30, 2019, I went to my ex-colleague's open house at 11B, Block G, Rumah Pangsa Taman Bakti, 68000 Ampang at 2.30 pm. We were served with nasi impit, kuah kacang, popiah, spaghetti, sizzling kuay teow and yellow noodles.

The food was good and I'm so glad to catch up with my ex-colleagues.

On Friday, July 5, 2019, our division held our open house during lunch time.

We had nasi impit,

 ayam rendang,

 ayam masak merah, 

 acar, kuah kacang, 

and fried noodles.

Each guest including ourselves received door gift upon arrival.

Dinner at The Social Bar & Restaurant

The Social Bar & Restaurant is located at 57-59, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It opens from 12pm to 12am daily. Three of us went there for dinner on Friday, May 24, 2019 joined by another two later in the evening.

We started with stuffed potato skins (RM17)

~ turkey bacon, cheese, sour cream & chives ~

char kuay teow (RM20)
~ tiger prawns,  snow crabstick & fish cakes ~

 California Roll (RM30)
~ snow crabstick, avocado, cucumber, ebiko and mayo ~

 chiew yim squid (RM24),
~ crispy fried squid with fragrant salt and pepper served with sriracha chilli saucee ~
sweet potato fries (RM14)

and burnt cheese cake (RM15).
