Walk A Hunt 2019

Last Saturday, April 27, 2019, I joined the company's Walk A Hunt trip to Melaka. We departed from the office at 7.27 am. We stopped at the Rest and Relax Stop at 8.09 am and continued the journey at 8.31 am. We reached Melaka at 10 am.

There are twenty teams of 6 to 10 members.  We have to walk about 4 km looking for clues and complete the questions in 2 hours' time.

 One of the tasks is to finish 10 bowls of cendols.

Once we completed the tasks and submitted our answers, we got on the trishaw to Mahkota Hotel for buffet lunch.

The answers are revealed and the winners are announced after the lunch. The first prize is RM2,000, the second place is RM1,500 and the third place is RM1,000.

 We left the hotel at 3.30 pm and reached the office at 6.36 pm. The traveling time is too long and it has been a tiring day.

Dinner at Snitch by the Thieves

Snitch By The Thieves Cafe is located at T-225A&B, The Gardens, Mid Valley City, 59200 Kuala Lumpur. Its operating hours are from 9am to 12pm on Sunday to Thursday and from 9am to 3am on Friday and Saturday. Went there for dinner on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

I had black pepper beef udon (RM20) 

~ wok stir fry black pepper beef udon, mixed capsicum, sugar snap peas, ginger, beansprout, spring onion and egg ~ 

while my friends had po' boy roll (RM25)

~tempura barramundi, panko crumbed prawns, homemade tartar sauce, cucumber salsa and chips~

and brekkie board (RM23)  

~ cheese herbed toast, fried eggs, chipolata sausages, coconut chia pudding, mango, strawberry and kiwi ~ 

Location ~ convenient as it is in a shopping mall

Sky Mirror Experience at Kuala Selangor

On Saturday, April 20, 2019, I joined my friend and 3 of her cousins to Kuala Selangor. We reached the jetty around 7.45 am. It was raining. We were on the last boat to leave the jetty. We left at 9.35 am and reached the Sky Mirror beach at 10 am.

We left the beach at 11.55 am and we have to wait for high tide to get back to the jetty so we dropped by Pulau Tikus for a short while. Even caught an oyster there.

We were back at the jetty at  2.05 pm. We drove to Restoran Aroma Ikan Bakar located at Jalan Jati, Jeram, 45800 Kuala Selangor. Operating hours are from 12pm to 12am on weekends and from 3pm to 12am on weekdays. It is closed on Monday.  We ordered tomyam, kailan, sotong goreng, udang, fried eggs and coconut juice.

Till next week, it was an interesting experience even for a person who doesn't like to take photos ;-)

Celebrating birthday at Enoshima Japanese Restaurant & Bar

On Friday, April 12, 2019, treated a friend for dinner at Enoshima Japanese Restaurant & Bar. Her actual birthday was on Monday, April 8.  It is located at Unit G-E-010, Ground Floor, Mid Valley Megamall, Mid Valley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, 59200 KL. Opening hours are from 11.30 pm to 12 am daily.

 We ordered salmon sushi bento (RM26),

 soft shell crab and avocado (RM24),

 nira chijimi (RM16),

 negi takoyaki (RM10) and saba shioyaki (RM19).

Location ~ convenient as it is in a shopping mall

Seating ~ outdoor and indoor

Food presentation ~ typical

Taste ~ not so nice

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ acceptable

After dinner, we went to Snowflake Taiwanese Dessert Secrets and we shared Mango Supreme and Grass Jelly.

It was good to catch up after a year :)

Dinner at Lucky Bo

Lucky Bo is located at 65, Jalan Bangkung, Taman Bandaraya, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It opens from 11pm to 4pm and reopen from 6pm to 11pm daily.

My friend and I went there for dinner on Monday, April 22, 2019. We ordered Tuak Colada (RM22) ~ tuak, rum, pineapple juice and coconut milk ~ and Rosemary Fizz (RM22) ~ tuak, gin, rosemary and lemon ~

We ordered 300gm rib eye - MB5 (RM138) with 150gm each and 

 shared the grilled salmon (RM44) with miso sesame seasoning served with rocket salad and roasted potato.
