Dinner at Borneo Restaurant & Bar

Borneo Restaurant & Bar is located at 11, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur. It serves East Malaysian food. It opens from 11am to 1am daily except on Tuesday.

My friend and I went there for dinner on Thursday, November 7, 2019. 

We ordered Borneo Rajah ~ terubok roe & oyster pancakes, fried squid, grilled kacangma chicken, homemade salted fish with Bario rice salad served with Tuhau (wild ginger stem) sambal,

smoked Dayak eggplant sauce and sauteed durian flowers,

tuak flight ~ cider, the red, wedding, pineapple, apple and roselle ~ served with crispy ikan lumek and cassava chips

 Sarawak kek lapis and gula apong (palm sugar) sandwich ice-cream

 and another dessert.

Parking ~ difficult as it is by the roadside

Dinner at The Original Boat Noodle

My ex-colleague and I went for dinner at The Original Boat Noodle located at 03-10-4, Level 3, Times Square, Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur on Monday, November 11, 2019. It opens from 10am to 10pm daily.

We ordered fresh Thai coconut (RM7.10), Thai iced tea (RM8), Thai iced coffee (RM8), two Royal Pathumthani beef springy noodle (RM3.80), Ayutthaya Thai beef rice noodle (RM1.90), two hot steamy sangkaya (RM14.20) and grilled beef meat balls (RM6.50).

Sip & Paint at EGG

Art & Bonding was founded in 2017 by Philip Chan and Stephy Lew. Art & Bonding was born when Stephy combined her passion for art with Philip's ability to create unity. Their dream is to allow everyone to showcase their creative selves through the process of art.

On Friday, August 16, 2019, my friend and I joined the Sip & Paint Night at Eight Gourmets Gala (EGG) located at Suite G-01, Pinnacle Annexe, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Subang Jaya.

We started at 8pm and finished before 11pm.

It was a fun experience and I definitely hope I can join other events in the future.

Celebrating birthday at Thvrsday

Last Monday, September 16, 2019, I treated a friend for her birthday brunch at Thvrsday. Her actual birthday was on September 13, 2019. 

Thvrsday is located at 22, Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 1, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 KL. Opening hours are from 10 am to 11 pm daily. It is closed on Thursdays.

We had hot tea and chai latte.

 We shared cheese burnt cake.

Kordel's Family Charity Walk 2019

Last Sunday, September 8, 2019, I joined the annual Kordel's Family Charity Walk for Healthy Joints.

 Entry fee is RM40.

were on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur between 1 to 5 pm.

We were flagged off at 7.22am after a warm-up session. The 7km walk started and ended at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur. I finished the walk at 8.37am. 

We received a Massimo bun and drinking water for breakfast

as well as goodie bag

 and a finisher medal upon completion.

I stayed on after the walk for lucky draw but left at 9.20am after no luck on 1st round.

Dinner at Ole Ole Bali

Ole Ole Bali is located at OB-1C, Sunway Pyramid, Jalan PJS 11/15, Bandar Sunway, 46150 Petaling Jaya. It serves Balinese food. It opens from 11am to 11pm daily. My friend and I went there for dinner on Friday, August 16, 2019. 

I had Nasi Campur (RM37) ~ combination of Balinese grilled lemongrass prawns, squid, fish, chicken rendang and sate lilit served with lawar kacang, rempeyek, sambel terasi and sambel matah ~ and honeydew juice (RM9).

Dinner at Jahhet and durian for dessert

Jahhet Fine Meat is located at Jalan Nirwana 1, Taman Nirwana, 68000 Kuala Lumpur. Its operating hours are from 12pm to 10.30pm daily except Friday 3pm to 10.30pm.

Five of us went there for dinner on Thursday, August 8, 2019.

After dinner, we drove to a durian stall and had a few durians before heading home.

Lunch at Little Bourke and dessert at Nutmeg

Little Bourke is located at 124, Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, 60000 Kuala Lumpur. Its operating hours are from 7.30am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and from 7.30am to 6pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

I went there for lunch with my ex-colleague on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

I had chicken parma, salad and potatoes (RM36) and

she had 200g steak medium rare (RM69).

After lunch, we drove to Bangsar Village II for dessert at Nutmeg located at UGF-28A. Opening hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. I had coconut moonlight cake (RM18.56) and watermelon juice (RM15.08) while my friend had Pietros Dream (Ferrero) cake (RM18.56) and Nutmeg mixed fruit tea (RM12.76).

Dayang Dua Dekad Concert

Dayang Nurfaizah binti Awang Dowty (born on July 20, 1981 in Kuching, Sarawak) is a Malaysian singer.  Tickets to her concert in Istana Budaya were sold out within hours after they went on sale at 2pm on February 14, 2019. The concert was held to celebrate her 20th anniversary in the industry.  The tickets start from RM125 to RM695.  Was lucky to get two tickets to the concert.

We had dinner at Levain Boulangerie & Pattiserie located at No.7, Jalan Delima, off Jalan Imbi, 55100 Kuala Lumpur before the concert. I had seafood aglio olio spaghetti and my friend had carbonara spaghetti.

We reached Istana Budaya at 7pm and walked around waiting like the rest.

Audience is not allowed to take photos or videos during the concert so none taken until the end of the show where everyone sang birthday song to the birthday girl. 

The concert started at 8.45pm and ended at 11.15pm.

Till next week, it was a great concert and definitely worth the wait and effort to buy the tickets.
