Breakfast at LOKL Cafe

LOKL Coffee Co. is located at 30, Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, 50000 Kuala Lumpur. Its operating hours are from 8am to 5pm daily.

 Went there for breakfast on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

Ordered smoked brisket hash (RM27) ~ brisket, fried potatoes, onions, sausages, BBQ sauce with fried egg on top ~ Earl Grey tea (RM8),

fluffy pancakes with honey pecans, gula Melaka syrup and coconut cream (RM17) and English breakfast tea (RM8).

 Location ~ quite a distance

Seating ~ indoor and outdoor

Food presentation ~ typical

Taste ~ acceptable

Price ~ a bit pricey

Service ~ waited more than 30 minutes

Coming back? ~ maybe not, also there is no carpark

Brunch at The Art Coffee

The Art Coffee is located at Lot 1.8, First Floor, Nexus Bangsar South, 7, Jalan Kerinchi, Bangsar South, 59200 Kuala Lumpur.

Its operating hours are from 9am to 5pm on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday and from  9am to 10pm from Thursday to Saturday. It is closed on Monday.

Went there for brunch last Saturday, August 18, 2018. 

 It was empty when we came in at 10.05 am and still empty when we left at 11.20 am.

Ordered healthy menu lunch (RM30.80), protein-on and chee melon ~watermelon, lychee & lemon~

French omelette(RM15)

and took away brownies (RM6).

Taste ~ the French omelette is tasteless, didn't even finish it

Lunch at Lifetime Coffee Tea

Lifetime Coffee Tea Cafe is located at 6, Plaza Salak Park, 2, Jalan 1/125E, 57100 KL. It serves east and west cuisine. Its business hours are from 8am to 10pm daily. Went there for lunch on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

Had white rice (RM1.50), ikan pari asam pedas (RM9.90), watermelon juice (RM4.90), chee cheong fun and barley (RM7.90).

I received the first birthday card as early as Thursday, June 7, 2018.

On Saturday, July 7, 2018, I redeemed my birthday facial treat at Vrelain by SERUM located at The Gardens.

I received the second birthday card on Thursday, June 19, 2018.

On Saturday, July 21, 2018, I had dinner with a friend at Pampas Steakhouse @ Old Malaya located at 66-68, Jalan Raja Chulan, 50200 KL.

We shared classic organic Caesar salad (RM28) ~ crunchy organic romaine lettuce tossed in a creamy Caesar salad dressing blended with anchovies topped with cherry tomatoes, homemade croutons, beef bacon and grated parmesan ~

 warm dark chocolate granache (RM24)
~ warm dark chocolate with a melting centre served with vanilla ice cream ~

 Margarita (RM25) and Argento Malbec Mendoza red wine (RM25).

 It was a nice view of the KL Tower.

On Thursday, July 26, 2018, I had dinner treat from three ex-colleagues at An Viet located LG203B, The Gardens Mall. It was opened on November 11, 2015. I had Vietnamese style braised beef set (RM24.80).

The rest had Vietnamese baguette (RM14.90) 

and sauteed beef with Vermicelli (RM18.90).

After dinner, we had one scoop of ice-cream each (RM11.40) at Inside Scoop. Three of us had musang king flavour while the other one had caramel biscuits flavour.

On Friday, July 27, 2018, I had lunch treat from a colleague at Nando's, Jaya One.

In the evening, I had dinner treat at SOULed Out located at No.7 G-11 & 12, Nexus Bangsar South, 59200 KL. We had mango mojitos ~ fresh mango and mango syrup diffuses into mix of rum, mint leaves and lime ~ and blueberry mojitos ~ rum, raspberry liqueur, blueberry puree, pineapple juice, lime, mint leaves get muddled and mixed ~ (RM11 during happy hours),

cheese nachos (RM23) ~ layers of crispy corn chips baked with cheese, jalapeno peppers, guacamole and Mexican tomato salsa ~

deep fried calamari (RM28) ~ crispy and crunchy squid rings in a secret batter recipe ~

one bottle of Apple Fox and three bottles of Strongbow ~ gold , dark fruit and elderflower ~

kakiage (RM12) ~ julienned vegetables with tempura batter accompanied with spicy mayo 

and lastly, lava cake (RM17) ~ warm, moist chocolate cake in praline sauce & cashew nuts topped with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice-cream ~

On Wednesday, August 1, 2018, I had dinner treat from a friend at Secret Loc Cafe located at No.1, Jalan Kuchai Maju 5, Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park, 58100 KL.

I had Thai style chicken bento set.

Both of us have hot lemon tea and shared beef fillet with black pepper sauce.

Lastly, on Sunday, August 5, 2018, I had lunch treat from an ex-colleague at Sopoonge located at B1-070, MyTown Shopping Centre, Jalan Cochrane, 55100 KL.

I had bulgogi (RM21.50) ~ marinated beef with soy sauce, stir-fried with vegetables and glass noodles ~ and she had chicken ramyeon (RM14.90). We shared the mango bingsu for dessert.

Lunch at Aka Cafe

Aka Cafe is located at No.21-1, Jalan 109F, Plaza Danau 2, Taman Danau Desa, 58000 KL. Aka Cafe serves Japanese food. Its business hours are from 12pm to 9pm from Thursdays to Tuesdays and closed on Wednesdays. Four of us went there for lunch on Saturday, July 28, 2018.

 I had salmon set (RM19) while

my ex-colleagues had bento set,

 gyoza,

 and taro ice balls.

Right after lunch, we went to Seri Petaling to look for durian to satisfy our cravings. We found a durian stall and we had four Musang king durian (RM150). It was interesting to catch up over durians :)

Dinner at Pavilion

After meeting an ex-colleague for lunch, I caught up with another three ex-colleagues for dinner at Nice Catch located at Lot 1.18, Nu Sentral Mall in the evening. It serves seafood.

All four of us had lemon tea (RM7.55)

and shared Captain's seafood spread (RM112.26)  ~ platter of crispy fried Korean squid, Norwegian salmon fillet, Sea Perch fillet and prawns served with corn dodgers, chips, sauteed zucchini and cherry tomatoes.

After dinner, we had dessert at DipnDip Chocolate Cafe located at Lot 7.103.01 & S7.102.00 Elite Pavilion. We shared 2 bottled water (RM5) and dipndip waffle (RM39.50) ~ waffle served with fresh seasonal fruits, vanilla bean whipped cream and chocolate topping.

We had a fun time and hope to meet up again soon.
