Celebrating birthday at Gravy Baby Cafe

Last Sunday, June 26, 2016, I treated a friend for her belated birthday dinner. Her actual birthday was on June 19. 

 This year we decided to try out Gravy Baby Cafe located at 5A, Jalan Desa Jaya, Taman Desa, 58100 KL. That was our first visit to the cafe.

 Its opening hours are from 7 am to 11 pm daily.

We  started with appetiser,

 simple fresh fruit salad with seasonal fruit and topped with Greek yoghurt (RM12)

followed by pumpkin and apricot tagine pie ~ combination of sweet apricots and savoury pumpkin with a Middle Eastern kick ~ served with buttery mash, spicy Boston baked beans and traditional London East End parsley liquor gravy (RM26)

 Nutella waffles (RM16)

~ two fresh hot waffles topped with Nutella ~

 apple juice (RM14) and hot ginger and lemon tea (RM10).

Dessert at SunConure Gateau Cafe

Right after lunch at Coffee Box on Sunday, May 15, 2016, we went for dessert at SunConure Gataeu Cafe also located at Faber Tower, Jalan Desa Bahagia, Taman Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur.

 The cafe serves waffles, sandwiches and cakes.

Shared the double chocolate and chocolate waffles (RM18.50)

 and I had hot chocolate (RM9.50).

Lunch at Coffee Box

Coffee Box serves variety of local food (rice and noodles) as well as western food, soup, bread, sandwiches and snacks. There are three outlets in Klang Valley. Its business hours are from 10 am to 10 pm daily.

Went for lunch at their outlet at Lot G14-G15, Faber Tower, Jalan Desa Bahagia, Taman Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, May 15, 2016.

 Ordered Penang fried kuay teow (RM10.50) and pandan barley juice (RM4.80) ~ always like it when it's wrapped with eggs ;-)

claypot loh shi fun (RM10.90) and watermelon juice (RM6.90),

sambal chicken rice set (RM14.90) that comes with watermelon and hot lemon tea.

Fine dining at Aloft KL Sentral

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016, our department sales team went for the Agency Award and Recognition Dinner at Aloft KL Sentral.

We left the office around 3 pm for hair-do and make-up

~good excuse to be out of office during office hours for non-work related matter~

We started with the appetizer,

seafood ceviche

~mesclun greens, citrus fluid gel, mango salsa, red radish & orange~

and tomato soup

~cheese tortellini, basil and grated parmesan~

 with main course,
braised beef short rib

~mashed sweet potato, mushroom demi-glace & baby vegetables~

Didn't stay for dessert,

vanilla infused grilled pineapple

~saffron milk chocolate ganache, raspberry sauce, berries and raspberry sorbet~

Lunch at Greyhound Cafe

Greyhound Cafe is located at Lot 0.2, 101, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. Its business hours are from 11am to 11pm on Sunday to Thursday and from 11am to 12am on Friday and Saturday. This is Bangkok's Greyhound Cafe first outlet in Malaysia. It was opened in February 2016. It serves Asian fusion, Italian and of course, Thai dishes.

Went there for lunch on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

 We ordered caesar salad (RM25)

 and Italian bruschetta (RM17) as starters,

spicy spaghetti Thai style (RM29) for our main course,

 and parfait mixed berries (RM18)

and fresh coconut crepe cake (RM22) as desserts.
