Lunch at Warisan Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah Restaurant

Warisan Nasi Kukus Ayam Goreng Berempah Restaurant is located at Lot LG-17, Lower Ground, Nu Sentral Mall. Its business hours are from 10am to 10pm daily. It serves authentic Malay cuisine. There are five types of rice to choose from: nasi kukus biasa (normal steamed rice), nasi kukus lemak (steamed rice with coconut milk), nasi kukus beras perang (brown rice steamed rice), nasi kukus pandan (steamed rice with pandan leaves) and nasi kukus bunga telang (blue steamed rice). Three of us went there for lunch on Friday, September 18, 2015.

I had nasi kukus daging rendang (RM15.90)

 My colleagues had mee siam (RM17.90)

 and nasi kukus ayam goreng berempah (RM17.90)

Food presentation ~ alright

Taste ~ good

Dinner at Popilla The Mexican Food Restaurant

We decided to watch the movie, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials at GSC Nu Sentral Mall after work on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. With less than an hour to spare, we went for a quick dinner at Popilla, The Mexican Food Restaurant located at L5,10, Level 5, Nu Sentral Mall. It opens from 10am to 10pm daily.  Haven't been there before so we decided to give it a try.

Popilla offers a wide range of Mexican fast food, from signature tacos to their speciality soft warm burritos, cheesy quesadillas and enchiladas.

We ordered cheesy chicken tacos set meal (RM14.40)
~ crunchy corn shell nachos with cream cheese, coleslaw and orange colada juice ~

and popi beef quesadillas (RM8.90)

~ cheesy beef, tomato cubes and avocado spread folded in tortilla sheet ~

 Location ~ convenient as it is in a mall next to the office
Food presentation ~ acceptable
Portion ~ quite small
Taste ~ not bad
Price ~ affordable
Service ~ alright

Celebrating birthday at Osaka Teppan Restaurant

On Sunday, September 6, 2015, three of us treated a friend for lunch at Osaka Teppan Restaurant located at Lot LG-50, iOi City Mall, Putrajaya. Its opening hours are from 10 am to 10 pm daily. Her actual birthday was on Friday, August 28 but she was off for a holiday in Sandakan at that time.

Two of us ordered salmon teriyaki set,

another ordered teriyaki chicken set and

the other ordered chicken and salmon teriyaki set.

We also shared fried mixed vegetables

and ice-cream ~ sesame, milk and lavender.

Green tea flavour was not available. Just can't take in the lavender flavour :(

Brunch at Plan b Cafe

On Saturday, August 29, 2015, we went for brunch at Plan b Cafe located at G-073-075, Ground Floor, Mid Valley Megamall, 59200 KL. Its business hours are from 9am to 10pm on Sundays to Thursdays and from 9am to 12am on Fridays, Saturdays and eve of public holidays.

It serves soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, burgers and Asian food. 

We had Eggs Royale ~ poached eggs, smoked salmon & homemade hollandaise, toasted bread (RM19),

Eggs Benedict ~ poached eggs, grilled turkey bacon with homemade hollandaise and toasted bread (RM17),

Big breakfast ~ 2 sunny side up eggs, grilled turkey bacon, golden hash brown, Italian sausage patty, stewed beans, sauteed mushrooms & cherry tomatoes, avocado & crusty ciabatta toast that comes together with coffee or tea and orange juice (RM35), and

Smoked Salmon & Salsa ~ poached eggs, corn salsa, smoked salmon & homemade ranch dressing, crusty ciabatta toast (RM25),

Location ~ convenient as it is in a mall

Food presentation ~ acceptable

Taste ~ delicious

Price ~ pricey

Service ~ It was alright under we were told that they do not have sourdough muffins that were supposed to come with the Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict.

Coming back? ~ Hmmmm, probably not for breakfast

Right after that, we went to IT Fair at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. Bought myself a powerbank and a pendrive.

Lunch at Puffy Buffy Cafe

Puffy Buffy Cafe is located at Lot 18 & 19, Level Concourse, Nu Sentral Mall. Its business hours are from 10pm to 10pm daily. It serves Malay and Western cuisine.

Three of us went there for lunch on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.

I had daging salai masak lemak cili api (RM17.90)
~ beef stewed in thick creamy coconut milk gravy with steamed white rice ~

My colleagues had ayam organik masak lemak cili api (RM17.90)
~ organic chicken stewed in thick creamy coconut milk gravy with steamed white rice ~

and grilled chicken chop (RM17.90)
~ grilled chicken served with grilled vegetables, mashed potato and black pepper sauce ~

We also had chocolate larva cake with ice-cream (RM12.50) as dessert.

Ambience ~ unwelcoming with the gloomy lighting

Taste ~ good

Price ~ affordable

Service ~ slow
