Visiting a patient at KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital

On Saturday, May 16, 2015, my ex-colleague was admitted to KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital for ligament torn after she played netball the same day.  KPJ Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital is located at 1, Jalan Memanda 9, Taman Dato Ahmad Razali, 68000 Ampang, Selangor.

We visited her last Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1.30pm.

I bought her a basket of flowers and fruits.

Her family has been accompanying her in the ward. She just had a surgery the day before. She's been doing physiotherapy prior to the surgery and expected to rest from work for one and a half month.

Spa Day at Beyond Beauty

Browsing through the Groupon website, I found a 2-hour full body pampering package which consists of an hour of full body Swedish massage, 30 minutes of full body scrub and 30 minutes of hot blanket for only RM48 instead of RM470.

Full body Swedish massage (uses lavender massage oil by Beaubelle from Switzerland) relaxes and promotes blood circulations, full body scrub exfoliates dead skin cells while hot blanket detoxifies and drains toxins from the body. 

Redemption period is from February 25 to May 23, 2015. Made an appointment for 6pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Beyond Beauty located at No.2-18, Level 2, Scott Garden, Old Klang Road, 58000 Kuala Lumpur. 

Started immediately upon arrival at 6.45pm (I was late) and finished at 8.15pm. It felt so good after a stressful week at work.

Hiking at Bukit Gasing

Last Saturday, May 16, 2015, instead of my weekly routine of walking in the park, I went hiking with two of my colleagues at Bukit Gasing. The Bukit Gasing Forest Park covers an area of over 100 hectares.  Bukit Gasing's highest point at 160 metres gives a view of both Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.

It was a good change of scenery. Hope to come back soon :)

9 to 5 Young Workers Run 2015

Last Saturday, May 9, 2015, I joined the 9 to 5 Young Workers Run with more than 15,000 participants.

Collection of T-shirts and bibs were on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, 2015 at 2nd Floor, Multi Purpose Hall, Wisma OCM, Jalan Hang Jebat, 50150 Kuala Lumpur from 10 to 6 pm. I collected mine on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

We were flagged off at 7.28am by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak. The 5km run started and ended at Persiaran Perdana Putrajaya. It was raining heavily and drizzling after the 1st km. 

We received a certificate of participation

 and a finisher medal upon completion.

Till next week, grateful that I didn't fall sick after running in the rain...
