Attending one-year-old birthday party at McD

Last Saturday, July 21, 2012, I attended my friend's one-year-old son's birthday party at McDonalds, Curve NX. His actual birthday is same as yours truly ^^

Attended by family, relatives and friends, it was a happy gathering...

The birthday boy looks happy

so is everyone around him and

the birthday cake was yummmmmmmyyyyyyy

Didn't know what to get the birthday boy as I tried to get away from the conventional clothes and money... so here's what I got ~ shape sorting cubes ~ sure hope the birthday boy knows what to do with it... Bought it right before the party ~ real last minute.

It was good to see the birthday boy and catch up with friends who attended the party.

Celebrating birthday at Sticky Fingers Bangkok Bistro

Treated my colleague to lunch at Sticky Fingers Bangkok Bistro, Pavilion on June 25, 2012 for her birthday.  Her actual day was on June 19.  This was the birthday girl's first visit to the bistro.  Decided to bring her here coz she likes Thai food.  

Sticky Fingers Bangkok Bistro portrays the lifestyle and cuisine of Thailand. 

We ordered their lunch set: shrimp paste fried rice served with mango, pandan chicken and scrambled egg and Bangkok style tom yam wanton noodle served with spring rolls.

Set lunch comes with ice lemon tea, soup and dessert of the day ~ in my case, it sure was a hot lemon tea ~

Breakfast at Delifrance

Delifrance is an authentic French cafe-bakery well known for their French bakeries and pastries, traditional European breads and signature sandwiches. The first Bistro Delifrance opened in Malaysia was in 2005 at Subang Parade.

Their outlet at The Weld is another place we usually go for breakfast before work.

Their Le Matin Breakfast is served with coffee or tea (refill). Our choice, of course, is tea.

We usually have Le Traditional,

egg supreme

and tartine set.

A choice that is no longer in the menu is mini sandwich croissant (egg, tuna or chicken)

Exploring the new mall: Setia City Mall

On Saturday, June 9, 2012, while waiting for one part of my car to be repainted, we decided to go to Setia City Mall located in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.

Setia City Mall is open from May 17, 2012 with over 230 specialty stores, a 10.5 acre park, 2,500 car parks, children's play facilities and water jet plaza. Its anchor tenant is Parkson.  Retail outlets include Harvey Norman, MPH Bookstore, The Body Shop, Memory Lane, Courts, Esprit, Zara, Uniqlo, Skechers, F.O.S, Padini Concept Store, Converse, Nike, Living Cabin, Lovely Lace, Fossil, Watsons and many more. There is a supermarket called Urbanfresh. Golden Screen Cinema is opening soon.

There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and snacks.  Among them are Bar.B.Q. Plaza, Sushi King, Carl's Junior, Dancing Fish, Delicious, Ichiban Boshi, Manhattan Fish Market, McDonalds, KFC, Nando's, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Papa John's Pizza, Khao, Pho Hoa, Seoul Garden, Starbucks, Subway, TGI Friday's, Tony Roma's, Secret Recipe, Gong Cha, Chatime, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Auntie Anne's and Big Apple.  

We had lunch at Dgend Dining.  We ordered nasi lemak, fried glass noodles, honey lemon and dessert.

Spent almost three hours exploring the mall and left empty-handed. The location is a bit out of the way so not thinking of coming here to shop unless I'm somewhere nearby.
