Window shopping at Great Eastern Mall

Great Eastern Mall is located at Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.  Last Thursday I went to the mall to meet up my ex-colleagues for lunch.

While waiting for lunch time, I walked around the mall.  There are, of course, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, pharmacies, book stores and so on but definitely not a mall where I go for shopping :( Didn't buy anything...

Breakfast at Sisters Kitchen

Sisters Kitchen started in April 2008.  There are 2 outlets in Kuala Lumpur: one at 1st Floor, Menara Hap Seng, Jalan P.Ramlee and another one at Lower Ground Floor, G Tower, No.199, Jalan Tun Razak. 

Its business hours are from 7.30am to 8.30pm on Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 7.30pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. 

Before work, we usually go for breakfast at their outlet at Menara Hap Seng.  We like to come here for breakfast as it offers various choices. 

I usually go for nasi lemak

fried mee hoon with prawn and fried egg

half-boiled eggs with kaya and butter toast bread

French toast with kaya and butter and

scrambled eggs with kaya and butter toast bread

together with a cup of tea.

Till next week, looking forward to meet up my ex-colleagues who I haven't seen in months for lunch tomorrow.

Actorlympics

I was back at PJ Live Arts Theatre, Jaya One last night to watch Actorlympics. 

This is my 3rd year ~ wouldn't want to miss it!

Had a pre-show dinner set at art Mansion bistro earlier in the evening: tomato soup + beef up pizza + lemon tea. 

The cast in last night show was Afdlin Shauki, Harith Iskander, Douglas Lim, Kuah Jenhan, Ida Nerina, Rashid Salleh and Jason Lo. 

The show was about two hours and ten minutes: 8.40 pm to 10.50 pm. Simply a hilarious Malaysian comedy. It was great to be able to switch off after work with a night of laughter. 

Till next week, a day without laughter is a day wasted.

Harith Iskander & Douglas Lim: Master Joker Malaysia

The PJ Laugh Fest is back from May 5 to 27, 2012 at PJ Live Arts Theatre, Jaya One. 

Tonight I watched Harith Iskander and Douglas Lim stand up comedy. The show was about an hour and twenty minutes: 8.40 pm to 10.00 pm. 

This is my 2nd year watching the two of them on stage together and it is still as hilarious as ever! Harith was making joke about the movie, Ombak Rindu when he saw Maya Karin in the audience... ooops

Dinner at Desa Kopitiam

Bought a Groupon deal for authentic local set meal for two which includes watermelon and ABC at Desa Kopitiam at No. 5-0-12, Jalan 3/109F, Taman Danau Desa, 58100 Kuala Lumpur. Paid RM15 instead of RM27 for the deal.

The coupon is valid fom March 21, 2012 to May 21, 2012 and we used it on April 6, 2012. 

The authentic local set meal consists of a choice of premium fish head or fish paste noodles, chicken noodle soup, curry laksa or kampung fried rice.

We chose premium fish head noodles

 and curry noodles

with watermelon

and ABC which contains red bean, longan, cendol, corn, jelly and peanuts, mixed with syrup and gula Melaka.

The food is ok but not really looking forward for second visit.
